Out of State Buyers,working on line... Dont Even Think About Buying here! I just wrote a long detailed review and decided no one really want to listen to all the minutia ..so Ill just cut to the chase and keep it simple.
I paid cash for the car on 10/30/2025 and had it shipped to my home in Kansas City Mo.
Ryan Butler ( finance) Terry Crowhurst General Manager,and even the comptroller Denise clearly are not customer focused at all,nor are they knowledgable about working with out of town buyers.They simply continued to brush off the issues as a DMV issue but clearly the timeliness of their response,lack of knowledge of expectations for sales tax out of state create endless delays and finally today January 8th I was able to finally register my car in the state of Missouri. Move along if you see an opportunity with this dealership on line..Won't be a good one!

My Grandpa is a 78 year old, Purple Heart veteran with wheelchair bound wife. He bought a new Genesis from the Mesquite dealership a week ago. There have been many problems with the car itself. The customer service, begrudgingly given, has been shameful. The SUV had a significant oil leak on Day 2. "APP" that co-exists with SUV has never worked; so certain vehicle functions do not work. The technology component housed in the SUV is not working. He has went to dealership 5 times in a week and was told he would have a meeting with the owner of the dealership. He is now being told no such owner exists. Either Genesis is trying to con a veteran and retired law enforcement officer out of his pension or they are completely incompetent. Do better.

I had another great experience with Genesis of Mesquite. This is my second lease with this dealership, and once again the process was low pressure, fast, and smooth overall.
I want to especially thank Tori and Terry for working diligently to try to get a deal done. Their professionalism, patience, and transparency truly stood out. I never felt rushed or pressured, which I really appreciate.
I genuinely love the Genesis brand, and Genesis of Mesquite continues to deliver a great experience. The new dealership is state of the art, beautiful, and welcoming. At this rate, I’ll absolutely continue to be a customer — I already can’t wait for this lease to end so I can get the next one.
Thank you to Terry and the entire Genesis family for the goodies and the window tint — those thoughtful touches did not go unnoticed.

I initially gave a 5 star review when I leased my vehicle back on 8/23/24. However, the events that unfolded afterwards with this dealership still leave me in shock to this day and do not with this on anyone. 2 weeks after leasing my vehicle, a chrome trim piece above my windshield flew off. I contacted the dealership service department by phone and advised them of the information in addition to a small minor issue that needed addressing, so they ordered the part and made an appointment for me (Chris Doyle) on 9/19/24 to get the minor issue addressed and the chrome trim piece. The minor issue was fixed (front license plate frame mounted too high and interfering with the cruise control) and when inquired about the chrome trim piece, I was advised they had no record of it being ordered. I was assured that the part would be ordered and they would reach out to be once the part arrived to schedule a time to come back. On 12/10/24 I contacted the dealership due to the time lapse without communication, and was again advised they have no record that I needed the part and it was never ordered. I was assured again that the part would in fact be ordered. On 3/1/2025 I was advised there was a open recall on my vehicle that needed to be addressed so I came in for that recall, two wheel repairs, and the chrome trim piece. One thing I was surprised by when booking this appointment was that there was not an option to get a shuttle ride or loaner vehicle as an option (I was only able to select "Wait at Dealership") when booking the appointment online.One of the many things that attracted me to Genesis was the Valet Service (They pick up your vehicle and drop off a loaner in exchange) which was not even offered or even a shuttle. I called 2 days before my appointment to follow up about this so I could plan my day out.When I was able to reach the service department, the receptionist advised that I could only speak to a Genesis certified advisor and none were available at the moment. She advised that should would have one contact me back, which never happened.I then showed up to my appointment and they asked if I was going to be waiting at the dealership to which I explained I needed a loaner. I was told " You should have called ahead of time to get a loaner vehicle" so I then asked about getting a ride back to my residence via shuttle.
I am limited in my review I have cut it back by 2 pages from other visits, and added a screenshot of the rest.

I originally reached out about a specific car on the website and was told that the car was on the lot. I schedule a time to view the car only to show up and the car was not there as stated. The only reason I decided to visit a dealership in Mesquite versus a dealer closer to my home was the vehicle.
I took the opportunity to at least drive a similar car to the one I inquired about and while on a test drive, we were pulled over by a State Tropper because there were no dealer tags or plates on the vehicle.
The sales staff started to push a different G70 that was completely different trim. After hours in the dealership, the GSM found 3 cars in different states that fit the bill.
The GSM came in and started upselling extend warranties and Clay Cooley dealer add-ons before we settled on the price of the car. The GSM tells me the $2000 in extras covers all the dealer adds (tint, ceramic coating, nitrogen in tires, etc.) then when the car arrives, none of these adds were on the car causing more of my time at the dealership.
Gave a low-ball offer on your SUV and then GM admitted he knew nothing about the value of Toyota 4Runners.
My wife currently drives a 2023 GV80 and told Andy and Terry both that she was interested in trading her vehicle in for a new GV80. They showed zero interest or respect to her and never followed up despite them saying they would. As you can imagine that opportunity is no longer available.
The sales associates don't appear to have any responsibility other than to greet you and facilitate test drives. I took receipt of the car with no walk around or demonstration on the features of the car. The gas tank was not filled when I took delivery. I was made to come back for the tint and was given a long loaner vehicle contract and had to provide a copy of my credit card to cover tolls and GAS, which I was responsible to replenish. I would not have needed a loaner if the car had what the GSM said it had and what I was basically made to believe was non-negotiable.
We asked GSM to credit me or cut me a check for the tint, but he declined. When I go to pick up the car after tint, the tint guy tinted over the SIRIUS radio and Genesis 800# stickers. Of course, the GSM had an excuse that some customers prefer it that way. Maybe ask the customer in the future instead of assuming.
This experience was far from what we consider 5-star experience and frankly, the 3-stars I gave was based on the car itself, not the dealership as I will not be recommending Clay Cooley dealerships in the future due to lack of professionalism and attention to detail.
