  I believe there is like 1 out of 87 reviews, one that was just posted today, and this is the opposite end of a deal gone sour because the "reviewer" (Travis?) had offered $16k for my boat, and I regrettably gave him too much information, that the broker (who received this BS review out of spite apparently) was 100% going to get his full commission, as Steve is a hard worker, went above and beyond for me as a "sometimes at the boat" client, checking on my boat and taking actions to make sure it was secure at times, did not have to, but he truly cares about what he does and his reputation. I give him a solid 5 stars, and would not hesitate to use his great services again. That said, the 1 star (or whatever "sour grapes" gave Steve as a review) was completely due to this reviewer trying to tell Steven what commission was going to be. Neither I nor Steve were going to accept this, so there you go. 5 stars for Steven. He earns every bit.

  One of the vessels we looked at had clearly visible galvanic corrosion and damage to the prop shaft, this is a major issues. Stephen made no mention of either until I directly questioned him. It bordered on intentional non-disclosure. In real estate, that level of omission could cost you your license. I'm not sure how closely boat brokers are regulated, but definitely beware if you are a buyer. For sellers, he also charges a flat minimum commission of $3,500. So, on listings priced at $16,000 or less, that equates to over 20%, a figure that, in my opinion, leans toward predatory. Once negotiations got started. He grew angry, spoke over me, and defaulted to a condescending and dismissive tone. It was unprofessional and frankly disrespectful. I would really like to offer something redeeming here, but I can't. There just isn't anything worth salvaging.
