I had a car in their center that was processed on a claim. I dropped another car off that I was paying cash for where some small damage had been done to the lift gate and the bumper from a garage door. When I was told the car was ready, I found out that the bumper was not included in the original quote/estimate. I never was given the option to include or not include the bumper. The estimator then blamed me for not understanding how to read the estimate details. WhenI brought the car in and said I wanted it fixed, I didn't say I wanted half of the issue fixed to save money or not address the whole car. Who honestly would want an issue only half repaired? I'd be very careful with the collision center, it does not offer the same service level or competency that I've experienced from the auto sales team/department at Sewell. The estimator should have picked up the phone and said he missed or didn't include something in the estimate (as they did with the car that was processed on the claim which is interesting as that was more money from insurance and not cash).

I brought my BMW 530i in for bodywork after it was in an accident damaging the front of the car. I brought the car to Sewell Collision because of the errors involving the sensors, Active Cruise Control, Front/Side collision, and Lane Departure system warnings. Ordre was initially very helpful and took the steps to get the repair done correctly.
The initial repair work was great. Since covered by insurance, I was not as concerned with the price. It took a little less than 2 months to complete the repair, but the finished product made up for the delay in the repair.
Problems arose after the car was initially repaired and the insurance was paid. Within 400 miles after the repair, the AC stopped working. After a recharge that lasted another 400 miles, it appeared to have been residual unseen damage from the accident. Bringing the car back, Ordre had it reviewed and came back with an $8400 repair estimate and declared it was not related to the accident. Initially I was advised it came from inside the car and the leak detector was found inside the vehicle, but after questioned (I could not find any sign if the leak detector where they said it was), he clarifies that they could not find where the uv leak detector was leaking from, but the repair was based on their experience.
Around the same time, I was having intermittent errors involving the Active Cruise Control and Lane Departure system errors. After looking at the car again, he advised that the problem was the sunroof module. At this point, my favorable view of Sewell had dissipated... the sunroof was not at all related to the cruise control.
I have since had the same items rechecked at another shop...
The air conditioning leak was due to a leak in the condenser and showed the uv leak detector between the condenser and the radiator... Sewell apparently forgot to check there even though they repaired and replaced parts adjacent and surrounding the condenser.
The intermittent cruise control and lane departure warnings were a result of 2 of the plugs for the sensors in the front not fully plugged back in when Sewell removed and replaced the front bumper cover. Once plugged the rest of the way in, the errors went away and haven't come back.
Maybe my expectations were too high. I have been going to Sewell BMW for years (I have 4 BMWs and 1 Mini) and my parents going to Sewell Lexus for 14+ years... but I expect much more than a half-assed follow-up of problems after they performed $11k in collision repairs. Sewell indicated they would warranty the collision work for 12 months, but instead sought to stick me with $10k+ of additional and unneeded repairs instead of properly fixing my car and standing behind their repair. More importantly, it leads me to doubt the integrity of prior work I had performed by any of the Sewell locations.
You have lost me as a customer...

I took my car to Sewell Collision to be repaired after a collision. Parker Abrego and Nolan Willmon were both incredibly helpful. The process was explained thoroughly. The car has sentimental value to me so I appreciate how they went above and beyond to explain everything with compassion and care. I left there trusting that my vehicle is in great hands. Thank you!
