- BMB MitchellSep 27, 20231.0If I could give this place negative 5 stars, I would. We were in Galveston on a short vacation. We rented a car, unfortunately we tried an EV and it had all kinds of battery issues. We pulled into this SP+ lot because it has a couple EV chargers in the very back. We had to download the app for the EV charger, and also pay by the KW hour for the charge itself. I didn't realize you also had to pay the $18 for the daily parking rate as well.... so we returned a couple hours later to find a $25 ticket on our car. ($18 for the day parking plus a $7 violation charge). Yes, there is a sign about the $18 parking when you enter the lot, but it doesn't talk about using the EV chargers and there were no other signs by the EV chargers themselves. We called and spoke with the facilities manager, Edward Drozdik whom was less than pleasant to say the least. He has no business being in customer service and it really makes no sense to have a customer service phone number or violation dispute website/email when you consistently get directed back to Edward, who treats you so rudely and talks to you like you are less of a person. If I go back, I'd pay double to park in a different lot not owned by this company or managed by Edward Drozdik.
