I’ll give credit where it’s due — but honestly, they hardly had any selection on the lot. The few new RVs they did have were way overpriced. The real kicker was when they offered me $15,000 for my two-year-old RV that’s in immaculate condition. That’s the kind of lowball offer that makes you shake your head. It’s the classic sleazy dealership move — they want you to take pennies for your trade while charging full price for something that’s not even in the same league as what you already own. No worries though. I went down the road to another RV dealer and ended up with a newer, higher-quality RV from a better manufacturer, with a stronger warranty and an honest deal that actually made sense. Moral of the story: • Don’t get caught up in the hype or flashy ads. • Read the reviews. • Do your research. • And if you value your time and money, look elsewhere — because Camping World Denton was hands-down the least responsive, least helpful, and most frustrating of all the dealerships I visited.

Wow! I have done business with CW Denton in the past with mixed feelings. But it looks like they have really gone down hill. Recently, I have called multiple times with a promise of someone to call me back, and no one has. So just out of curiosity, I started checking recent reviews. What an eye opener! Luckily for me, a recent post had to do with the Splendie combo washer/dryer install, and how CW totally scratched up the customers RV. Well, I am not going to give them the chance to scratch my RV. But the thing that concerns me most? The CW owner never responds to complaints, he only responds to comments that are positive to CW Denton. Shouldn't it be the other way around?? Thank you to everyone being honest both good an bad. It really helped me out.

Dropped my camper off with a refrigerator and charging issues. While there, they side swiped my camper with another one. Three months later, I picked it up and the battery was dead, no brake or turn signals, and the refrigerator still didn’t work. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION! Update: Reached out to the COO of Camping World Matthew Wagner last Friday on Linkedin and still no response. When the COO doesn’t respond, it just confirms poor service and disappointed customers don’t matter. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION!

Don’t do business with camping world. When I went to go finance a newly forest river RV, the paperwork had some of my information with someone else’s home address, DOB, social security etc. I didn’t want to do business anyways since I had picked up a mistrustful vibe about the salesperson I was dealing with. Prior to purchase, I was bombarded with phone calls throughout the week on/and off work asking me when I can come in to fill out paperwork. They were bending backwards for me to purchase the darn RV. When I finally went, the sales manager and financial guy were really pushy and defensive when I asked questions related to the RV and financing. Automatic Red flag. I had put a down payment of 5k and all they needed was my signature. When the paperwork showed up with someone else’s info, it was a saving grace to backtrack and for me not go through with the sale. Long story short, I had to go through corporate to return my 5k downpayment since they only wanted to give me partial due to the “RV fees”. The RV was brand new. Once they got the memo that I called corporate, their tone changed real quick.

I purchased a travel trailer from Camping World, Denton, TX on 09.30.25. I just want you all to be aware of the gouging that takes place there, as well as some questionable business practices. First, my car needed a trailer hitch to pull my trailer and they quoted me $4,050. I guess because I'm a single female they thought I was too stupid to know any better. Needless to say, uhaul charged me well under $1K for a better hitch. I did purchase a stabilizer bar from them but they conveniently left that off when it was delivered. Interestingly enough when asking for my refund, a couple of the staff members were not as helpful and courteous as they were when I was purchasing the trailer. When seeking my reimbursement I asked for my original sales order so that I could confirm my return only to later learn my original sales order was reworked after the deal was completed adding more expensive items that I did not purchase, and deleting the lessor value item. All in all they owed me $1,320. It took some push to get my refund as every time I called I was shuffled to a different person. When voicing my frustrations, the General Manager was very disrespectful to me. I asked him several times to not speak to me with such disrespect as I was being calm and stating the facts. The last time I asked him to please stop speaking to me so rudely, he hung up on me. I know there are a lot of Karen's out there, but I assure you, I was not acting like a Karen. I was simply requesting my money that was owed to me while expressing my concern that I was not getting answers. I finally received the refund check, but it took a month of being shuffled around from person to person. If you plan to purchase a trailer or RV from the Denton location, please go slow and look over EVERYTHING methodically. Have them be very transparent! I know we all expect some upcharges when purchasing a vehicle, boat, or trailer/RV, but in my experience, they are looking at all angles to wrangle you into paying more money. I am just disappointed in the whole process :(
