Powerhouse Auto & Diesel is a family-owned auto repair shop in Cypress, TX. The story began with two cousins working and gaining experience with dealerships. In 2020, we decided to use that knowledge to go out independently, and Powerhouse was formed. We both reached master-level mechanic status at the dealerships, which we use daily as owners/operators of Powerhouse Auto & Diesel. We opened our shop to provide dealership-level auto service at a better cost to the Cypress community.

I towed my 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 (6.7L diesel) to Al after a dealership tried to charge me nearly $6,000 for repairs that weren’t even necessary. Al took the time to actually diagnose the issue and found that all it needed was one part replaced — total came out to around $2,000 parts and labor. From start to finish, Al was honest, upfront, and professional. It’s rare to find a mechanic who truly puts integrity first, but that’s exactly what you’ll get here. This was my first time using Power House, and it’s now my go-to shop for any future repairs. I already scheduled to be back next month for regular maintenance — oil change and fuel filters — just didn’t have the funds to do it this time. Highly recommend Power House Diesel & Auto if you want quality work, fair pricing, and someone you can trust!

I never got a call so I called after work to see if it’s ready and they said they couldn’t do the alignment because I needed new ball joints. I asked what they’d charge for the replacement of the ball joints, they told me $680 plus the $125 for the alignment. I went to “Bender Tires & Automotive” and was able to get the ball joints replaced plus the alignment for a total of $320. Bender Tires charges $80 for alignment. They’re in a different part of town but I saved more than half than I would’ve paid at Powerhouse auto.
