Car buying can be a stressful experience, but working with Strait Daniel at Family Toyota of Burleson made the process exceptionally smooth. My wife and I have purchased several vehicles over the years, and we were immediately impressed with Strait’s professionalism, patience, and clear communication.
Our son, who is in the Air Force, was specifically interested in a Corolla Hatchback. Strait took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for and guided us through the options without pressure. He remained patient while our son secured a pre-approved loan which took a month. Strait continued to follow up with us during this time – a MONTH – with no guarantee of a sale. That level of service we truly appreciated.
When we returned to finalize the purchase, Strait walked us through every step of the negotiation with transparency and calm confidence. Even when we drove a hard bargain, he remained composed, respectful, and focused on finding a solution that worked for everyone. His professionalism greatly reduced the typical stress associated with buying a vehicle.
As a veteran, I also valued the comfortable and respectful atmosphere he created. Working with Strait and others genuinely felt like dealing with some of my old service buddies.

I am from New York, and back in June I was calling dealerships all across the country looking for a 2025 Toyota Sienna XLE at a reasonable price. I had a few good offers at that point but felt I could still do better. I was referred to Family Toyota of Burleson by someone who had previously purchased a car there, and they directed me to Manny. From the very first call, it was clear that Manny was extremely nice, straightforward, and reasonable. I explained my situation and presented him with my offer. Manny called me back shortly after and told me he would match it, and he sent me a buy order immediately.
Manny was extremely quick and efficient throughout the process. It was obvious that this dealership does not play any of the typical games that so many other dealerships around the country engage in. Everything was extremely transparent, consistent, and honest. They always kept their word, and that alone put them far ahead of most dealers I spoke with.
After accepting the offer, I placed a $500 deposit on the vehicle. The only thing worth noting is that Manny mentioned this deposit was non-refundable. Every other dealer I have ever worked with in the past has only ever required a refundable deposit, which seems to be the industry norm. I reluctantly agreed to the non-refundable deposit since I had no intention of backing out.
I booked plane tickets about seven days out, and Manny had no issue holding the vehicle for that long. When I arrived at the dealership, the experience was very smooth overall. We were warmly welcomed, the process was straightforward, and after paying we were on our way back to New York.
One additional note for out of state buyers: the dealership seemed to forget to send in my DMV paperwork. They give you a 60 day Texas temporary tag, and toward the end of that period I realized my paperwork hadn’t been submitted to my local NYS DMV. After realizing, I called a few times to remind them, and after that they sent everything in and provided me with a FedEx tracking number. Luckily, everything worked out perfectly and just in time before the temp tag expired. I truly believe this was a genuine mistake rather than anything intentional so I'm not holding it against them in this review. Still, I’d advise out of state buyers to confirm early on that the paperwork has been mailed and to request a tracking number.
Overall, this was a great experience. Even though I’m from New York, if I ever need another Toyota in the future, this will absolutely be one of the first dealerships I contact. Manny and the team at Family Toyota of Burleson earned my complete trust.
