I bought my 2025 SV Nissan Kicks in October and at the beginning of November it was already back at Nissan in the service shop due to a cluster issue within the screen. The sales person was asked when my husband and I were buying the car why the screen was like that (it had circles of scratches) and he replied that it just needed to be wiped off. My husband’s family and I have bought many vehicles from Nissan, but this was by far the worst experience we have had here. The General Manager was supposed to give me a call personally for an update this week and never did. The sales person was told multiple times by my husband and I through text that the screen was getting worse after we bought it. We had to eventually call nissan and get help. I was told to bring it in. After bringing it in I was notified it could take days, weeks, months, and etc by the service department. I asked to have a rental car by the sales person and he told me that they had none. I then called him back and told him that I needed something to drive to work and told him that he could get me a rental from another rental lot that was not Nissan. He told me that they could not do that. I gave it 30 minutes and got a phone call that he found a rental. He also made me aware that he was the one working on this issue and that this was a one time rental courtesy of Nissan and that this would never happen again. What is so strange is when I pulled up that night to get a rental, there was a whole row of rentals sitting in front of nissan with rental tags on. Also, I was given a Nissan kicks play. Not even close to my car then I was told after I came back to the dealership to possibly purchase another car (because I hated having a downgrade and paying so much already) that the general manager told me he would get me a car with the same trim. I just needed to come back Monday. I was still never given a car with the same trim. I was given an S version. I am frustrated because I am paying for a downgrade while my SV is just sitting in Nissans parking lot. I requested that the service department crank my car when it snowed on a Monday (in december), but was told that it would be Wednesday before they can even get to it. The car sits right outside the garage doors. I am very upset and hope my car does not have further issues due to it just sitting there. I was told they have a log where they crank the cars, but highly doubt that this happens since they could not even crank it the day I had called. I was finally given the advice to call the claims department this week and make a claim. I still have no ETA on my car and I am still paying for it to just sit there. The part is on a national back order. I get it is not this dealerships fault, but there comes a time when you should be honest. I was told by the service department and the GM that they were not surprised my rental screen is doing the same thing now. The service department said for a while they thought it was from the detailing departments chemicals. I feel like when I asked about the spot on my screen that day of purchasing I should have been briefed on this. I really hope customers are being warned about the Nissan Kicks delimination of the cluster screen. I would hate for anyone else to go through this. I will say the saving grace to our experience has been, Payton. He has thankfully been as helpful as he can be my husband and I really appreciate him. We went in one day hoping to get a different car, he was very helpful and honest. The two pictures below are my car and then my rental.

I made my appointment to get a recall taken care of, had to take off work all day because the drive and the appointment was going to take around 8 and a half hours so I was completely out an entire days pay, then after setting there for 5 hours they inform me that their system is down and they cant perform the recall inspection and that I will have to come back again for another 8 and half hour day to get the inspection complied with once they get their system back up and running which will make me miss another entire day of work, and I cant afford that at all and they didn't seem to be very concerned, nor did they even offer an apology or anything.

The staff at Nissan of Cookeville went above and beyond to make sure my family and I were taken care of and in the right vehicle at the right deal. Dustin, Robbie, Kyler, and Stephanie were all fantastic to work with and made buying a car 130 miles away from home an easy, stress-free, and genuinely enjoyable experience. They even stayed late on a Sunday to make sure everything was handled and the deal got done. I truly couldn’t ask for better customer service or a better overall experience. Nissan of Cookeville has earned a customer for life, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dealership that actually puts people first.

Want to say how wonderful my experience with Nissan of Cookeville was this week. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by the receptionist with a big smile and she immediately got John Milligan for me. He was very patient and asked lots of detailed questions to figure out what model would best fit my needs. We narrowed down to 2 models and went on some test drives. We discussed pros and cons of each as we drove them to help me decide what would be best for my long term plans and budget. I never felt pressured or belittled in any way. After I made my decision we got with management on getting me the best price I could on the one I wanted. From walking in, test drives and signing paperwork it all took about 3 hours and most of that time was me deciding what I wanted to do. From John, Service, Finance, and all Management Team here at Nissan of Cookeville, I was made to feel like family. I know I will be treated well for a long time to come with Nissan of Cookeville.
