    Turned away for factory roof rack on a car washed dozens of times at this same location under Frank's. All these places have been bought out or built by private equity to take advantage of new capital equipment depreciation tax loopholes. They literally could not care less about washing cars or taking care of customers. Find a nice mobile detailing guy and stop giving your money to these private equity monstrosities.

    First time since it was sold to Take 5. Hard sell on the membership to the point where there’s only one gate for non members. The overhead mirror to line the wheel up is gone. No pre wash from the attendant for the $11 basic wash. Trash was empty, vacuum wasn’t clogged, and detail center had materials. Hurricane has compressed air.

    If I could give ZERO stars I would. This place told me I could pay $27 and get car washes all month, except they DON'T tell you they will charge you EVERY MONTH whether you went there or not! They also charged me for a cheaper car wash ($17) for three months. I have only ever been to this place 3 times. They charged my card 6 different times, including today and I didn't even go there today (except to dispute the charge). I will NEVER go there again. I filed a dispute with my bank and told Take Five to cancel both accounts that I didn't even know I had! It's like buying a meal one time and being charged for it every month. Why was my card number put on their file? I never gave permission for that. I never signed anything. What a scam!

    Deceptive marketing. They try to upsell you to a "membership," but you have no idea that is what is happening until you see the recurring charges on your card (as my spouse did). Try reading the terms and conditions of these memberships on their website: you are agreeing not to file any class action lawsuits, not to disclose any arbitration to third parties, and to arbitrate your dispute in a whole different city and state. So instead of what the tech pitched as a good way to be able to get your car washed multiple time in a single month, you find that you're paying month after month, with no recourse. Quite the deal with the devil. Save your money and your headaches and get your car washed elsewhere! There are plenty of other car washes that are reputable in the Irmo area.

    I am writing this review as a serious warning to anyone currently using or considering a membership with Take 5 Car Wash, specifically at this location. What began as an issue with vehicle damage quickly escalated into a complete failure of customer service and management follow-through. The Vehicle Damage Incident On October 15, 2024, immediately after pulling my vehicle out of the wash, all of my car's proximity and parking sensors ceased functioning. I waited a full day and even manually cleaned the sensor areas, thinking moisture might be interfering, but the issue persisted. I confirmed via my vehicle's internal logs that the sensor failure occurred precisely when leaving the wash bay. Unprofessional and Rude Staff Encounter (Bill) I returned to the location to report the damage. I spoke with an employee named Bill, who stated he was the person in charge. Bill was immediately rude, unprofessional, and spoke with contempt, refusing to take any responsibility for the incident despite my offer to show him the dated car logs confirming the malfunction. His aggressive and dismissive attitude was deeply unsettling and unacceptable for any customer-facing role. Management Failure to Follow Up Disappointed, I left but returned about 30 minutes later to speak with a different employee. This employee was professional, acknowledged both my problem and Bill’s poor behavior, and assured me that the manager was not present but would contact me back to start a damage claim. To date, I have received zero contact from the manager or any representative from Take 5 Car Wash regarding this incident. This complete lack of follow-through demonstrates that this location and its management do not take customer issues or claims of damage seriously. My Resolution & Warning Fortunately, my dealership confirmed the issue was minor and, due to my vehicle still being under manufacturer warranty, it was fixed with a goodwill discount. However, the lack of professional service, the rude behavior of a staff member (Bill), and the managerial failure to initiate a promised damage claim process are entirely unacceptable. I am canceling my membership immediately. I urge any prospective customer to avoid this location or at least take extreme caution before entering
