I really want to know if there is a lawyer or someone out there that can point me in the direction of someone who will help me. Since getting into lock installed in my car it has killed my battery 3 different times, after the first time my machine ( pretty much the service center where I get my Intoxolox serviced said I need a new battery. So I paid about 300$ for a new battery. Fast forward 4 months I go to start my car and my battery is dead again …. I waited over 45 min to wait to talk to customer service and was hung up on multiple times , further more I pay extra for road side assistance and no one pick up the phone all night, I must have tried calling for over 5 hours, and on their website they clearly state 24/7 and I pay extra. And this was at 5pm, they installed a new hand held in my car on them as they should pay for it fast forward 2 week from that time and my battery is dead again, and now they made me make take an ultimatum saying if there Is something wrong with my battery I would have to pay for the charges even though the service center they told me to go to installed it. You want to talk about fraud, I use my car for work and to pick me kids nd wife up and then offer nothing. They just tell you to bring it to your service center and now it’s an ultimatum because if I didn’t say yes they literally said they wouldn’t put the work order in. They need to be reported, this is fraud. My car was working fine before their device was in I had it for 2 years and I take great care of my car never missed an oil change always get in inspected, this place is fraudulent and I encourage you to never use this company you will spend so much money waste so much time and resources and for all the trouble this company makes you go through they would never think of giving you a free month or anything even though it can really disrupt your routine.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?

The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
