One day into the rental the car was inadvertently parked in a tow zone in front of my hotel and towed by the city. Sixt has been the worst. All the help staff are in Germany and are very patronizing and unhelpful. I arranged to pick up the vehicle from the cities tow provider but Sixt won't allow it. The Sixt help staff on the phone admit that their policy is not in the rental agreement but they insist they must pick up the car from impound and they will get back to me in 3-5 business days with a new rental car. This is completely unacceptable. I am an 11 minute ride from the car pickup spot yet Sixt wants me to sit and wait for 3-5 days. I do not have a hotel in Portland for the next 3-5 days and I do have prepaid logging in other locations for the next week. This is a terrible way to do business. Clearly Sixt want to use my bad day to make things worse and churn up fees. This is a terrible way to do business and to treat a customer. I would give zero stars if the system would allow me too.

I rented a week ago from them,they charged me 55 dollars a day and gave me a car with 200,000 miles on it with a piece of the sideview mirror missing. The car also had engine issues and smelled like cigarettes. I returned the car the next day and because I returned it early he charged an extra day for dropping the car off early. He also made me put down a five hundred dollar deposit. When I returned the vehicle he then told me there was a. Early return fee . I told him I didn't see that anywhere in the paperwork he gave me. He said it was in there. I then challenged it and he finally said, no it's not in there but you returned the car early so we had to charge an early return fee....I said to him "so you lied to me and said it was in the contract when I rented it" he then said yes Iied to you ... Son rent from. Them. Scam artist....
