    We had the pleasure of purchasing our first boat recently from Clemons. We vetted many local boat dealers in the Sandusky area and by far Clemons stood well above the rest. Jon and Leslie were fantastic to work with and made the process as easy as it gets. If you’re in the market for a boat and looking for genuine people who put zero pressure on you to purchase I recommend Clemons without reservation!

    I was so excited to purchase a larger boat as we have a smaller duck boat. Bought our 2021 NauticStar from Clemons and have had nothing but problems since. Started out that the salesman was no longer employed there and the boat deck cushions we were told came with the boat when purchased did not, they did make that right by ordering them for us. Bottom of the boat was to be painted before they put it in the water(at dock we rent here). When the boat was pulled out for the next winter they told us we needed to paint the bottom (we paid for paint and they didn’t charge labor) they told us this was never done when we purchased it as agreed upon. Next season after winter storage and services (including oil change) boat stopped running shortly after launch and we were told it looked like something had wrapped around the motor and caused it to seize. Insurance company stated that it looked like there was no oil in lower unit, luckily we had additional insurance coverage. Upon further inspection they stated it looked like someone had “gorilla glued” our motor together. We have only had service performed at their service center as they do every aspect, from us buying the boat from them, they pull for the season, store and winterize as well as doing all of the services for our boat. Now somehow someone has “gorilla glued” the motor?!? Insurance company had us sign a form stating all work had been performed at this location only. Dredging took place not long ago I was asked to take keys in so they could move my boat if necessary, they still have not contacted me stating this was completed, nor returned my boat to my rented dock and there is someone else’s boat in it. This season they have now conveniently forgotten to send us information on winter storage. Should have known loyalty to a small community company in which we thought would be better than dealing with a large corporation would end up like this. Thanks for your loyalty to your customers!! Super sad 😔

    We had issues with the spring delivery of our Bennington tritoon (2025). I texted a picture of the issue through the website and the next day I got a a call from Brian, after he researched the issue and he had gotten to the bottom of it! We will take care of it! While I had him on the phone, I said our battery isn’t wired correctly either, he said send me a picture. He saw the picture and said I’ll send someone right over! Needless to say, I was disappointed in the delivery, but I’m so happy that all is worked out! Brian in service is a rockstar! Thank you!
