- DFDavid FullerDec 23, 20251.0Well, my wife and I continue to struggle with her XT4. This is about the 6th time having to go into the shop for engine light and related service. It's been on extended warranty over the last 2 years, but it is highly inconvenient and annoying how often this has happened. We specifically asked to buy an extended warranty to cover the life of the loan only to find out from the mechanic this week that there was a mileage limit placed on the warranty we purchased and now the repair quote is over $3000 and we still have 18 months on the loan. All the other warranties are to the end of the term. The wheels, the paint, dents, etc, but low and behold the mechanical warranty was limited. Shame on us for not catching it, but I think we were sold a lemon and then shorted on the warranty that we specifically asked to cover the life of the loan. I never can get a hold of anyone there either. We stopped taking it here for service and have chosen the other dealers for the service needs after our first experience as well. We will be trading this vehicle in as soon as possible and taking it on the chin it appears.
