  Amazing spot to bring your car...friendly, fair and fast ....the manager Ravi went above and beyond to get my Jeep Liberty fix....car was done and in the road in no time....anybody in the east meadow area should come to this place...if I could give 10 stars instead of 5. I would........

  If I could give negative stars, I would. I am not one to write negative reviews, but my experience with AJ’s Auto this week was so appalling, I feel obligated to warn others. After my check engine light came on and my car began overheating with RPM and speed gauge issues, I had it towed through AAA to AJ’s—a shop recommended and affiliated with AAA. I explained the exact issues to the owner. A day later, he called to say the car was “all set” and claimed to have driven it himself to confirm. I picked up the car after paying $200—including a $80 charge for oil & filter (which I never would have done if I had known the price he would charge, my previous changes were ~50), $100 for “scanning," and the remainder was what was supposed to address the root of the problem (all he did was fill the coolant and that did not address the issue whatsoever). As soon as I drove off, I noticed an unusually loud sound. I pulled over to find the tailpipe completely detached and hanging off—something that was absolutely not an issue when the car was towed in. By the time I realized, the shop had closed for the day. I returned the next day (tailpipe taped on), and he blamed “natural corrosion” and “Mother Nature.” Despite my car having no such problem before, he claimed it must have happened on its own during the one day he had it. He offered to pay and sent me to a muffler shop. En route, the check engine light came on again. I spent another $135 and five hours at the muffler shop, which not only fixed the tailpipe but also scanned my car for free and diagnosed a sensor issue within a matter of minutes—the likely root cause of the overheating and gauge failure from the start. I returned to AJ’s, expecting accountability. Instead, he denied saying he’d pay, refused reimbursement, and only after persistent pressure, begrudgingly handed me $50. During this conversation, he actually bragged about owning a multimillion-dollar business and claimed $135 was “nothing” to him—yet refused to make it right. That evening, my car overheated again, and I ended up stranded on the highway, having to get towed AGAIN. I realized the owner or whoever had worked on the car MERELY CLEARED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, WITHOUT ACTUALLY ADDRESSING THE ISSUE. I later brought my car to a reputable shop, and they diagnosed and addressed the root issue. In total, I lost over $300, wasted three days, got stranded again, and had an absolutely unprofessional and careless experience. I can't speak to others' experiences, but I urge you: DO NOT bring your car here. You’ll likely leave with more problems than you came in with, and deal with an arrogant owner. I couldn’t care less for the owners response which I’m sure he’ll do to save his reputation, but I hope this saves others from his SCAM of a business.
