To anyone thinking of buying at camping world, stop, look at the bad reviews on here. Notice that the company will only reply to positive reviews, know why? Because they can't dispute the bad reviews, as a now former employee (lot porter) for 2 years and 2 months of camping world (I can talk about now) I had a first hand experience with almost every customer. And I'm here to say that this place is not deserving of even a 1 stare review. They treat the employees worse then the customers. The sales and customer service teams are a rotating door of associates, the only loyal sales person they have has stayed because they look the other way on harassment and sexual harassment that has already been posted on Google reviews. Yet she's still there.
The GM is all about favoritism and a power trip, just like the CEO Marcus. They fired me for poor performance, when I had a lot that is overcrowded by prob 50-100 units and they are only bringing more in. The problem is they only bring units in. Sales of new units are down to maybe one a week and yet they bring 5-10 in a week. So I guess because I couldn't make the impossible magic they wanted it was poor performance. When in reality it's a management power trip. From everything I can see, I don't think camping world is going to last for long in Billings. Everything from retail to the campers themselves are so over priced it's insane.
If you want to buy a unit here just know that you WILL see raised prices on the backend. They will lie straight to your face and give you a cost, just for it to increase by the thousands. Once the paperwork is signed you own it and all the extra fees, if you buy a new camper and if It goes through the shop and they find new issues that were not disclosed before guess who's paying for those not the company, you.
Oh let's not forget the biggest red flag of that place, not once, not twice, but 3 times they rehired a boy, not man, that has a history of violence, roid rages, a woman beater. That has literally threatened men and woman at the work place. But guess what, they don't care because he can sell. So profit over employee and customer safety.
I don't post this because I'm mad and vindictive, I post it because I can now without fear of losing my job. I'm happy they let me go cuz now I can share to the community what this place is like. I am here to warn not just customers but future employees of what you're getting in to. It doesn't matter how good of an employee you are and how much you did for the place you're a number that they could care less about, so if they claim it's a family friendly place just know it's ran by evil people that don't care about anyone but themselves. If you ever think you can take a problem to management or HR, just know they will find a reason to fire you.
Good luck out there to anyone looking to buy a camper from camping world. The way these people work i'd bring an attorney with you.
Also if you think it's a good job opportunity, just know they will not give raises however they will start new employees on at a higher rate then older employees. If you think for yourself at all you'll end up fired. And the reason they fire people, poor performance review, it doesn't matter if you're the best employee there, if they want you gone all they've gotta say is poor performance.
Well that's my piece of information I'm giving, take it or leave it. I just don't want to see others get screwed over like myself and other employees did. And I also want the customers to know what kind of place they'd be supporting

Bought brand new fifth wheel in June. Husband trying to get ahold of financing multiple times and each time they keep saying that the finance guy will call him back and nothing happens. They then asked to be emailed. He did get some response via email but just that he would look at the contract and call. Nothing. They were asked repeatedly to not include a service contract or gap coverage in the contract and lo and behold, claimed to have found us a better financing deal and wrote a new contract and included a service contract and gap coverage, adding an additional over $5,000 to our amount financed. We want a refund for these items that were specifically asked to be excluded.

My husband and I stopped at Camping world of Billings three weeks ago to get a price quote on a wash and wax on our fifth wheel camper. We showed up this morning for our scheduled appointment and went through the check in procedure. Upon completing this procedure, they needed my signature and all of a sudden the price was $90 more than our quote.
When we went to pick it up and upon inspection afterwards, it was obvious that the ladder was never released and washed underneath. It still had major dust. Could write your name in it. One side and the front looked fantastic. I have to give them that. The other side Looks like they forgot to wash it.
The customer service we had trying to get it checked in and walking into the building.,I did not complain to them. I don’t think it would’ve done any good. The front reception person had her mirror out and was applying her make up and didn’t even notice we walked in.
We have used Rapid City Camping world previously, had great customer service.
