As a Good Sam member, just passing by on the highway, I have to say you need to replace your US flag. It's shredded.

Review for Camping World
This was the worst buying experience I have ever had.
We scheduled a 10:30 AM appointment. We already knew exactly which camper we wanted, our credit scores, our down payment, and had no need to be sold anything. Our salesperson, David, was friendly and welcoming, and I have no major complaints about him personally.
By 11:30 AM, our credit application was completed, insurance was secured, and the down payment was paid. From that point forward, we were told we were just waiting on the finance department.
After waiting over an hour with no update, we were told we could go to lunch and would receive a call when finance was ready. We never received a call. After several hours away, I had to call back myself. We were told finance would contact us shortly, so we returned to the dealership.
We then waited several more hours with no communication. Each update required us to track down our salesperson. We were repeatedly told it would be “just a little longer.” It was me, my wife, a 3-year-old, and an 8-month-old with us. Had anyone been honest about the timeline, we would have left and returned another day.
After more than six hours total, we were finally brought into finance. The finance experience was by far the worst part of the process. The finance employee was rude, dismissive, and relied heavily on fear-based sales tactics. He pushed high-margin dealer add-ons aggressively, implied potential frame damage, exaggerated repair costs, and became visibly annoyed when we declined coverage.
When asked to explain paperwork, we were told to “just sign it.” When we declined add-ons, we were made to feel irresponsible. The monthly payment without add-ons was dramatically lower than what was initially presented, confirming the pressure tactics.
After leaving finance, we were given no direction on the next steps and were told “not my department” when asking about the camper walkthrough. At that point, I requested to cancel the deal.
The sales manager stepped in and handled the situation professionally. He was calm, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed concerned about our experience. Once he got involved, the process finally moved forward.
The service department was excellent. The walkthrough was thorough and reassuring. The store staff we interacted with were also helpful and professional.
Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. After getting the camper home to Marion, AR, we discovered there were no keys. Follow-up communication required multiple calls, and again, no proactive updates. Eventually, the issue was resolved, but only after repeated effort on our part.
Summary:
• Salesperson: Friendly, but lacked communication and urgency
• Sales manager: Professional and helpful
• Finance department: Rude, dismissive, and relied on fear-based selling
• Service department: Excellent
• Overall process: Extremely inefficient and poorly communicated
Buying a camper should not take 6–7 hours when everything is already decided. Transparency, communication, and basic professionalism were lacking. This experience nearly caused us to walk away entirely.
