The Suntrup family have been servicing and selling cars since 1957 for the St Louis area. Bill Suntrup started the first dealership in the 1960s and a decade later his brother, Don Suntrup, began working in the automotive business. From there, the family involvement in the industry blossomed. Among the grown children of both Bill and Don, there are more than 20 additional family members employed in the Suntrup Automotive Group. According to Craig Suntrup, “All the Suntrup’s started early in the business, beginning at about age 12, and working at ‘grunt jobs’ at the dealerships–washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting the walls.”

Kia was a great salesperson — honest, helpful, and easy to work with. He deserves 5 stars. The problem was the finance manager, AJ. After I got home and reviewed my paperwork, I found over $5,000 of add-on warranties and fees that were never clearly explained and some that the car already comes with. I was also charged a $249 registration fee even though I transferred my old plates. I went back to the dealership to speak with AJ and was told I needed an appointment. I tried calling him multiple times with no response at all. Kia was excellent, but the finance process was not transparent and needs major improvement.

Just did a Sign/Drive on a VW Tiguan, Blaze worked with me over the phone so my time at the dealership was minimal. They beat the deal my Illinois dealership was offering, and I was on the road with my new car in about an hour. I have since scheduled my ID4 for service where that process was quick, and straight forward. I am now a loyal customer, way to go Suntrup, you’re doing a great job!

We bought our 2025 kia sorento from suntrup kia south. The car is fine and the purchasing experience was ok, but the service dept is Absolutely the worst service dept out there. Every time i have brought my vehicle in for an oil change it take hours to do even if you have an appointment. Took them a few hours for a simple oil change and tire rotation with an appointment, I watched them put the car on the rack and then stand there and talk for almost an hour before they did anything with the vehicle. Mechanics spend more time talking then working. If you want good service don't buy a car from here

With some issues with my previous car and the headache from that, going into a dealership was not only unexpected but also intimidating (it’s been 10 years). Going to this location eased the stresses of the car buying experience immediately. With Tony, I not only felt heard but I also didn’t feel pressured in any direction. I went in thinking I was going to go for one car and it be a two hour max process. It turned into a multi-car (test driving) 4 hour process due to my indecisiveness and Tony not once made me feel rushed (even going through the lunch hour and it raining). I would gladly recommend this location and Tony to my friends and family. The entire staff during the car-buying process was friendly and welcoming and I have no doubt my experience when it’s time to bring back my new Volkswagen Tiguan (thanks Tony) for its routine maintenance will be well-handled.

We just bought a 2025 VW Atlas R line and are beyond happy with the car especially with our Salesman Tony ! Tony is amazing and knowledgeable about the car and the product it self. One thing that made the whole experience buying through him we did not feel pressured at all. We came and test drove the car. He explained everything about it and answered any question we had. We agreed to the price and he went beyond to get us a great deal on it and discounts we can get since its a 2025 brand new car. Once we went to the finance office all the numbers we agreed on were there and once in there we did not get pressured to take any ad ons since Tony did great job getting us what we need as far warranties and free maintenance for 3 years and of course some free items out of the souvenir case. This is how a Car deal should be handled and Tony is a prime example of it. I would use Tony any time in the Future as well recommend him to my Friends and Family.
