The Suntrup family have been servicing and selling cars since 1957 for the St Louis area. Bill Suntrup started the first dealership in the 1960s and a decade later his brother, Don Suntrup, began working in the automotive business. From there, the family involvement in the industry blossomed. Among the grown children of both Bill and Don, there are more than 20 additional family members employed in the Suntrup Automotive Group. Bill’s children, Chris and Tom are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo and Tom is President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters and Suntrup Ford Westport.

    I had a great experience purchasing and test driving my new 2026 Rouge SV. Beth Davis greeted me at the door and we became friends quickly. I told her what I was looking for and We went for a test drive. I haven't owned a new vehicle for several years and wasn't quite ready for all the new technology but Beth quickly showed me how it all works. I loved the ride and drive and was sold on the SUV. Of course "The Wife" wanted more options. Beth quickly pointed out they had exactly what she wanted. I felt that I got a great deal and everyone including Jill in financing were great.

    Our experience with Suntrup Nissan is why Carvana has gotten so popular; skipping the dealership experience altogether—even if you end up paying a little more—is preferable to dealing with an organization that just wants to try and sneak in all of the add-ons that they can. We bought a used Toyota from Suntrup Nissan a year ago. They had just gotten the car in on a trade and it had a chip in the windshield and the tires were on their last legs. We were told that they would take care of these issues at their service center asap. I tried to schedule service for these issues several times and never got confirmation or a call back. The sales associate we worked with gave us her cell # and said she would take care of it. We texted and emailed her multiple times and never got an appointment. I even got a service agreement with them to try and streamline the process—still couldn’t get in. I cancelled it and went to Jay Wolfe Toyota near our house and they took care of us right away. There are better dealerships with more helpful staff in the greater STL area, i would recommend any of those over Suntrup Nissan.

    I arrived promptly at 9 a.m. I had the pleasure of working with Michael Meyers and then proceeded to the finance department where I was assisted by Ryan. I am truly impressed by his professionalism, extensive knowledge, and courteous demeanor. He is certainly deserving of recognition for his diligent efforts. I wholeheartedly recommend contacting him for anyone considering a car purchase. I encountered a minor issue three days after my purchase, and Ryan managed the entire resolution process, from contacting service to arranging a loaner vehicle with Hailey, who was so kind and provided great customer service. Ryan went above and beyond to make this a remarkably smooth experience. I intend to continue purchasing my vehicles from this establishment. Thank you for transforming what I anticipated would be a stressful situation into a pleasant and effortless transition. Thank you all

    On 12/20/2025 JESS helped set me up with my 1st vehicle purchase- Suntrup Nissan was a wonderful place to purchase my 1st vehicle. JESS was a phenomenal help. I was ready to walk due to the anxiety of it all, coming from a position in life where no family has ever bought a new car before it all seemed crazy to me. She explained the money I would be investing into my older model to fix it and how investing that money into a newer car would have me ending on a upside, she seriously Worked out numbers showing me. She explained all the issues with my older model and how unsafe it really was to continue on in that vehicle. She looked at my entire income with and with out overtime, even speaking to me about managing all my other bills as well. She did everything to help ensure me that this was the perfect vehicle for me & my budget! She was very heartfelt and understanding of the individual. If you are looking for a new vehicle I highly recommend JESS at Suntrup Nissan!!

    Very disappointing to say the least. I wouldn't recommend buying used here or using there service center. I purchased a 2018 buick from them and within a week the check engine light was on and was about $5,000 worth of issues. They did fix it, but it was an absolute nightmare. They assisted me with a loner vehicle while mine was being repaired. I had informed them before i ever took the loner car that i would be leaving for vacation in a week and had my sons birthday party so i needed notice before having to drive a 2 hour round trip to get my car. I want to emphasize that if they did their due diligence before selling a car my car wouldn't have needed that extensive service a week after purchase. They call me Friday night at 6pm and tell me to come get the car then they are closed on the weekends then my planned trip, that i already informed them of, started Monday morning. I told bill, the person in the service department, on Friday i wouldn't be able to make it up, especially considering it was almost closing time and I'm an hour away. I told him i would try to get the car back Monday morning before i left. Monday i texted mike meyer, the man who sold me the car, to let him know i just wouldn't be able to make it that day. He responded and told me to "have a great vacation." While im at the airport i get a call from Bill who told me i needed to bring the car back now. Obviously that wasn't possible, as i was in Florida. I tell him ill do what i can to get someone else to bring the car the next day. The next day around noon bill messages me again to inform me they would be charging me now, which was never agreed upon. I told him i had someone to bring it back but wasn't sure an exact time. Bill continued to harass me and call and message me on my vacation. It ended with Scott threatening to report the car stolen. Which is insane, considering i have a record of messages informing everyone the entire way and even an ok from one of their employees. Now on top of everything 2 weeks later the check engine light is on again. And they are refusing to honor their warranty or their bad work. Im pretty sure the engine issue is related to the service they did on the car. I've never experienced something quite like this.
