We've had great success with the sales department. Not so with the service. When we set up the appointment for our Transit 350 van, we received a confirmation notice that a service appointment had been made for us for a 2013 Taurus. After some wrangling, that was finally straightened out. It is unacceptable that it took over 2 hours for a simple oil change and tire rotation that we had a scheduled appointment for. Our vehicle has different tire pressures required for the front and back. Although the tires were rotated, their air pressure was never adjusted for their new location after being rotated. So we had warning lights and notifications when we arrived home.

This was a mobile visit for a routine oil change. Technician couldn’t be bothered to greet me in a polite way. Just demanding to see where my house number was, twice! I literally had to ask him to repeat what he said because I couldn’t believe all he cared about was my house number which is visibly displayed. Didn’t bring the correct parts and insisted he use my garage (this was a mobile visit which I will never do again) because my driveway has a slight incline which the woman who suggested this type of service never advised me of. Technician was once again rude when letting me know the service was done. Sad because I really liked this dealership but the employees are rude.

I had an incredible experience at Sunset Ford! From start to finish, the process was smooth, transparent, and completely stress-free. My salesman, Jim Wagstaff, went above and beyond to make sure I found the perfect vehicle. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure I felt confident and comfortable with my purchase. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with sincere care, but Jim absolutely does. If you’re shopping for a vehicle, do yourself a favor and ask for Jim—you won’t be disappointed. Sunset Ford has definitely earned my business for the long run!

I took my vehicle in because it wouldn’t start and was getting messages on the dashboard. They said it may take a week before it gets looks at. Well a week went by and they pushed it back. Then another week went by and the same thing. They pushed me back because I didn’t have an appointment. Then the third week i was on them so they finally got it in diagnosis and fixed. This is unacceptable!! They need to change things for people that don’t have an appointment!! Have one mechanic to diagnose the cars that come in with no appointment and when there are no cars then go work no the cars that are there. It’s not that difficult to do or manage. At this time I’m not sure I will bring my vehicle back to them. The worst part is I had to rent a car and pay out of pocket the entire time!! Unhappy customer!!

I would give Zero if I could. Brought my truck for recall few months ago. After they installed the recall software update. Truck drove ruff. Called service advisor Name “Andrew” man is so rude. Never made eye contact. He gave a month out appointment when I brought the truck in they gave me loaner then he took an extra week to look at my truck. Which don’t make sense I had an appointment and waited for a month. Then they claimed oh you need new transmission. I said well it was driving perfect before that recall update. I said let me see. Then he goes you owe us $450 for what? Of $250 for loaner and 199 for checking the truck. I asked why you are the one who took a week to look at the truck even I had appointment. He was so rude and kept repeating it’s in contract. So I paid and left! I took my truck to different shop they figured that transmission control wasn’t communicating properly they don’t install the recall software correctly. I paid them to reinstall the software. I called back today and talk to service manager and his first word was either the shop or you lying. He hung up the phone. But they don’t want to admit their fault and wanted 10k for transmission. I am thinking about going to talk to them in Person Tomorrow. See what kinda crap they pull! First ford truck probably be selling it. Won’t do business with this dealer nor ford company. That Andrew the service advisor is not friendly at all And never return my calls. When I reached out about my truck messed up after that update they failed to install properly.
