The technician was very nice and explained everything clearly. They took cash and car. My technician was very polite called me with Miss Brown which I prefer. If I ever have an issue again I really only want him to touch my vehicle. Then just before 5 pm the day before service I was told that I had to get my vehicle to their shop because the wind chill might be below -10°F: information that should have been provided upfront. Instead I had to scramble to arrange transportation and miss work to drive to their shop with an open driver's window with a wind chill of -37°F (-5°F @45 mph). 2) I was told that I would be contacted by the technician to make arrangements. I contacted Safelite 5 times over 24 hours with questions that the operator said only the tech oculd answer & he'd call in 15 minutes, but he didn't. He didn't answer the operators calls either. 3) There were glass shards and glass dust on open, easy to reach surfaces & crevices after work was complete. I was assured before picking it up that only hard to reach areas might still have glass. See pictures. This would be a safety violation ( cut and inhalation hazard) at the residential glass factory where I work. Imagine the precautions expected when consumers and their children have access to the surfaces. 4) Safelite 's automated email and text service can't account for changes in location Safelite makes due to weather so even as I drove to drop off my vehicle I was receiving emails and texts telling me to be at my home address. These are all easily remedied issues if Safelight had executed standard customer facing practices in customer service. I wouldn't recommend them until they improve. I don't like doing 90% of the communication & effort or being misinformed & uninformed.
