- ANAngela NixonAug 20, 20254.0I prepaid for parking, via parking.com; the facility is nice and clean and I felt perfectly safe but the Plate Reader Software, which opens the gate to leave, needs work :( it interpreted the number '1' in my plate as the letter 'i' so the gate would not open. I had to text the code on the sign to get the gate open, and was sent a link to my phone to pay for the parking, but as I had already prepaid and the gate didn't open. I was just confused and still stuck at the gate, so I called the number on the sign. The customer service person who answered opened the gate and then transferred me to another representative who cancelled the additional charge on record and so I was only charged what I prepaid. But it was quite a hassle. I do hope they improve their OCR software soon so this doesn't continue to happen, but if this happens to you, because like me you have a number in your plate that could look like a different number or letter, then just know that its a simple phone call to get it worked out, and just a bit of time and patience, but that is the key to most things, just a bit of patience.

After then going through the hassle of contesting the incorrect ticket, I found out the ticket was for some one else but the genius who issued the ticket took a picture of my license plate instead. How hard is it to just not harass paying customers?
