My daughter purchased a used car from this dealership mid July from James Price. She was told that the car passed a safety inspection at the time of purchase. The check engine light came on soon after and we called to inquire if service would look at the car, she was told that they do not "service this type of car". Two weeks later the car stalled on the freeway with her baby in the car. The repairs are over $5000 for a catalytic converter, and faulty electrical sensors. A mechanic told me that the engine had an aftermarket exhaust system and several additional aftermarket components to add turbo power to the engine. I called Mr. Price and the General Manager Eric Calhoun, as they were not helpful in any way to help resolve her issues. This purchase was a part of their Special Finance program that was supposed to be designed to help people with credit issues. We thought we were dealing with a dealership with integrity, Please BEWARE as this dealership does NOT care about its customers!!!!!!!!

I have to say Phil went above and beyond in the service department. I needed four tires and a battery change and I was in a bind as far as another car to use. Just a 100 thanks to him and the staff. Another thank you to George for getting it finalized so I could pick up my vehicle.

My review today is based on my personal experience 11/7/2025.
Last week 10/31/25 I scheduled a service visit for 11/7/25 at 9:30 am. I was instructed by the service member to bring my vehicle before 9:30 am so we could make sure that the vehicle would be inspected as well as a diagnostic. I arrived at 9:15 am and sat in the service member location for 15 minutes until my service representative came out. We greeted each other and started getting to work on assessing and documenting the reason the vehicle was brought in. Once all the ducks were in a row we handed them our keys and our service member said and I quote “we’ll give you a call around noon-ish with an update” I said thank you and I look forward to your call. [Fast Forward] it is now 4:00pm and I still had not received a call or text regarding an update. I called Royal Oak Ford and spoke with my service member and I asked him for an update, he tells me “um let me see, the technician hasn’t gotten back to me, give me a couple minutes and I will call you right back” I agreed. The service member called me back 3 minutes later and tells me “Hey, our technician was not able to get to your car today” (mind you our car was second in line in their service entrance bay). I gasped, physically gasped, I could not believe it, my car was there for 7 hours! 7 hours my car sat there without a single inspection, 7 hours without a single diagnosis, 7 hours of most likely being out of sight and out of mind in the parking lot. I’m truly appalled! The reason I brought the vehicle in is because it needs a ballpoint and inner tie rod end (the same tie rod they installed back in July).
The fact that my car sat there for 7 hours and the service member did not follow up with the technician or me is truly appalling and completely unprofessional. While on the phone the service member had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to leave it Royal Oak Ford over the weekend and it would be the first car in line on Monday or if I wanted to come pick it up before 5:00pm, without hesitation I quickly responded “I’m on my way now” I got there at 4:25pm.
Once we arrived to Royal Oak Ford, the service desk asked us our name and all they had to say was “go over there” pointing to the cashier department.
This is absolutely the last time I will “do” business with them.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Royal Oak Ford. We scheduled an appointment a week in advance for 9:30 AM, and by 4 PM we still hadn’t heard a word. When we finally called, we were told they hadn’t even looked at our vehicle. What’s the point of making an appointment if it means nothing?
We rearranged our whole day and trusted that our time would be respected — clearly, it wasn’t. The complete lack of communication and accountability is beyond frustrating. We won’t be coming back and would strongly suggest going somewhere that values its customers’ time.

I received a Letter in the mail from Mr James Price. Gave him a call he took the time to explain what’s best for my situation. Came in person to the dealership and mind you I’m a first timer with Ford. Mr Price took his to explain in details what’s best for me and how I can improve my situation alongside his assistant Mr Andrew. I test drove many vehicles in that day. When an obstacle came across the deal Mr Price made sure to work hard round the clock and take care of it with Bank so I can still posses the vehicle. So now I found the dealership I was looking for to do things for Life cause I hate hoping from dealership to another. It’s worth your time to listen Mr James Price and follow his instructions he is laying out a plan for your success.
