  📍A & D Collision in Haslett MI DO NOT TRUST OR GO THERE. They tried to swindle me for $1958 for WINDSHEILD WIPERS/and “looking under the hood. I can’t make this up. BACKGROUND: I just moved to the area two months ago and shy of a month ago I got my windshield replaced at A&D collision. I saw they were family owned, and when I spoke to the people, they were extremely friendly and even had a shuttle to drop you off home. Within the month, I’ve barely had to use my windshield wipers between holidays travels being out of town and the weather wasn’t bad prior to me leaving. Within the past week that I’ve been here I noticed they slowly were slowing down and ultimately stopped. With urgency, I contacted them today and had them look at it this morning. They called me back quoting me $1750. They told me that the bolts within the windshield wiper transmission were stripped, and that the left and right windshield wipers that hook into it are also damaged so without any leeway all three parts need to be changed. He tried to push me on to go on a payment plan and asked me if I wanted to work with getting it bumped down maybe a few hundred dollars but that’s all he could do. That just sounded way higher than anything I could’ve imagined, and even when I looked up online nothing was coming up in comparison like that. I told him I would be coming to get my vehicle. Upon arriving, it was mentioned to him the irony that I’ve had my car for four years and not until I got my windshield replaced by them, in the same month have my windshield wipers stopped working. Upon returning my keys to me, the mechanic was trying to charge me $208 because “his guy looked at my car”. I had thanked him for their service of looking at my vehicle, but had he mentioned to me prior I could’ve had the option to look elsewhere, not knowing such a high fee would be charged. After making numerous questions in regards to this fee, he looked annoyed and just handed me my keys and told me that he would “handle it”. I had to walk out the front door and walk around the building to the back of the lot to find my car. THE KICKER: I took my car to Davis Collision in Haslett- and they were nice enough, though it’s not their typical work, to take a look for me because they thought that sounded like an unreasonable situation. It took them less than five minutes to pop my hood and show me that there was nothing wrong with my car and that THE BOLTS WERE LOOSENED. They tightened the bolts and my windshield wipers are back to normal. FOLLOW UP: I returned back to A&D collision and spoke to the manager and expressed the massive amount of disappointment and feeling so taken advantage of. Especially walking in alone as a young woman, the stigma around mechanics I really was just another target. I trusted them. The manager tried to gaslight me telling me that “ I’m sorry that you feel that way, that we misdiagnosed your car”. *He went on to tell me that most of their clients are women and that they take care of them*. They didn’t miss diagnose my car, they blatantly lied. I am so lucky that I have friends and loved ones that I could contact in these moments. It is absolutely heartbreaking to know that there is this type of behavior a business runs by, and upon searching around some locals refer to the A & D to represent Always Dishonest- I guess they live up to that.

  Definitely do not recommend them at all! Girlfriend takes her car in because windshield wipers stopped working after they had just replaced the windshield. Try charging $208 to look at it without being told so and then say it was $1700 to fix it. I get involved. I take the car to my buddy shop. The only thing that was wrong. Was the bolts need to be tightened down took about 10 seconds windshield wipers worked perfect!

  Jared was amazing at A&D. I cannot thank him enough for the rides, communication, & care he provided for me & my mom!! Him and the team are such professionals and are actually passionate about providing good, quality service. Cannot recommend this place enough!

  My experience with A&D Collision and Glass is amazing! After I was informed from Gwen about an accident with my windshield repair, she called me about the incident and was able to reorder my glass and fix it within the next day. The service and staff at this place is great and welcoming! I highly recommend going here!

  Amazing team! Fantastic work! One morning driving to work in the dark on my normal route a deer decided to jump out in front of me and i could not stop in time. You know that feeling when you are about to crash your dream truck and there is nothing you can do about it? That's what happen to me, I LOVE my truck! What started out as a terrible morning was magically made better once my truck was towed over to A&D and I met Ian & Kyle. From the jump they reassured me that they were going to everything in their power to fix my truck and fight the battles with insurance on my behalf. This is exactly what these two gentlemen did for me. When I tell you that they took care of everything; that is exactly what they did, I am completely overcome with gratitude that they not only fixed my truck, but gave me regular updates and even accommodated some personalization I wanted done to eliminate the chrome finish that was installed from the factory. My truck looks better than new, oh & they detailed it to boot. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you need some repair work completed professionally, do yourself a favor and reach out to Ian or Kyle at A&D; you'll be glad you did.
