- ADAmy DavisAug 28, 20174.0I purchased a $200 gift card for my mom for Mother's Day and when she went to use it, they told her it was invalid and the only way to fix it was for me to call (even though she had a copy of the gift receipt with the credit card charge). It was difficult to reach a member of management to resolve the issue. However, they ended up issuing a new gift card. Beware of gift card purchases as there are people committing retail theft/fraud by taking picture of the gift cards after scratching off the pin numbers. They then apparently wait for the card to be purchased and monitor the status via the Camping World gift card balance website. They later of course, use the gift card for online purchases. This is what happened with my mother's gift card. I am glad Camping World did not pass this retail theft/fraud onto honest customers.
