- KMKenneth M2 days ago2.0Poor communication. Inconsistent customer service. If you have a Tesla or EV, make sure your software is updated. I contacted Safelite’s 800 number with questions before I took my car. A rep said someone from the local store would give me a call days before. They never did. I go drop off the car. When I get home, I get a call that my software is not up-to-date so they can’t do the job. And their Wi-Fi is not good enough to do this software update. So I go back and get the car and update my software. I take the car back before closing to leave it overnight. The original employee who checked me in was incredible and had great customer service, but she was gone. I tried to get a tech to come check my software before I left the car and he would not. So the next morning I get a call from the amazing original employee I had contact with…telling me the software still needs to be updated. There was one more software update that I missed. Maybe that’s on me, but I feel like if that tech had come out, he could’ve caught it. My point… Safelite should communicate about the software issue before you drop off your car. (And that it needs to be 60 percent charged).

The multiple correspondence I received from safelite estimated 3 hours for completion of the windshield to be replaced and sensors to be recalibrated. Just before the 6 hour mark they took my vehicle out for the necessary drive to ensure the calibration was done. Had the same service performed by safe lite at my residence for the same vehicle in the past. They were in and out under three hours.
- J9Joe 9Nov 3, 20251.0*WORST SERVICE* I had a repair scheduled for last Saturday, the technicians brought broken glass to replace my broken glass, realized the new glass was damaged and put my old broken windshield back on telling me they would have to reschedule the replacement. They damaged the glass even more AND broke the molding around the windshield so it came off as soon as I started driving. They rescheduled my replacement to an arbitrary date and time without confirming with me, REFUSED to take accountability AND demanded I pay an additional fee of $53 for rescheduling the repair. Safelite is a scam company with incompetent technicians and managers that refuse to take accountability and do right by the customer. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY
