This shop is AMAZING in service, professionalism, courtesy - and SUPER FAST in responding to my popped and unrepairable tire. A hidden old pipe edge (in the street side of a sidewalk!) flattened my tire as I was parking in Belmont. Luckily I could stay where I was, called AAA, and soon my car was towed to Express Tire & Auto Service in Watertown (1.4 miles away) where they got a matching tire from their warehouse, installed it, and RETURNED my car back to where I was waiting in 2 hours! - and all at a great price! My day was saved due to the high work ethics at Express Tire & Auto Service in Watertown, MA. Super thankful!

I thought I needed a new muffler for the insane noise coming from my much-loved and aging Volvo, emailed several places around for info/estimate and received a reply from Lisa in 5 minutes. 5 MINUTES!
I live a mile away, drove right over and was assisted by Brendan. Since it was lunchtime, I was told I would receive a call as soon as everyone was back and was offered a ride home (very sweet, but it was just a quick walk). Darren called me an hour later with the news that my muffler was good.... but I needed a new catalytic converter. Yikes. He ordered the parts right away (2:30 on Thursday afternoon) and my car was ready 24 hours later.
They have photos and videos of what your car needs, Darren and I talked about how this is a great, honest tool for everyone involved (EVERY business should have this!). I am grateful they could get my car in right away, and I'm confident I found a new place for all types of repairs. Thanks again to Lisa, Brendan, Darren and everyone in the shop from me and my Volvo!!

I recently bought a van for my business and I’ve had a couple of issues I wanted addressed. I’ve been to Express Tire three times and every time they’ve done a fine job I’d like to say thanks to Darren and Lisa and their team. I especially like their location five minutes from my house Thanks everyone.
Frequently Asked Questions About Express Tire & Auto Service
How Do I Get the Most out of My Tires and Keep My Tires in Working Order?
The pressure of your tires can influence the way you drive. Under-inflated tires can cause irregular tire wear and can cause a tire blowout, and over-inflated tires are more likely to be damaged when hitting an obstacle. Keep your tire pressure at the recommended PSI that is outlined in the owner’s manual. Properly inflated tires will maximize tread life, improve handling, and increase fuel efficiency and overall driver safety.
What Is Tire Tread Depth?
A tire’s tread is what gives it traction on the road. Your tire has built-in tread wear indicators, also known as “wear bars.” When these bars are flush with your tire’s tread, then it’s time to get the tire replaced. If tires are bald and without much tread, you’re more likely to lose your connection with the road while driving.
When Do My Tires Need To Be Rotated?
When you drive your vehicle, it will wear down certain tires more than others, so you should have your tires rotated every 5,000-8,000 miles. Recommended rotation patterns for your vehicle can be found in your owner’s manual. Rotating the position of your tires will help you get the most miles out of your tires, the best traction, and improved driving safety.
What Is Tire Balancing?
Tire balancing is done by evenly distributing the weight of your vehicle so it is fully balanced evenly across all the tires. Whenever you have your tires replaced, tire balancing should also be done as a part of the tire installation process. Balanced tires give you a smoother, more comfortable ride without feeling any vibrations coming from the wheels.
What Is a Wheel Alignment?
A wheel alignment involves fine-tuning the angles of your vehicle’s suspension system so that your wheels are pointed in the right direction. A wheel alignment is performed to bring the car's suspension into its proper configuration, positioning, and adjusting components so that the wheels are aligned with each other and the road surface. Proper alignment will give you a smoother ride, fewer vibrations, reduced wear on your tires, and better mileage.
How can I keep my tires in good working condition?
Maintain the recommended tire pressure outlined in your owner's manual to maximize tread life, improve handling, and increase safety. Avoid under-inflation or over-inflation which can cause irregular wear or damage.
What does tire tread depth indicate and when should tires be replaced?
Tire tread provides traction on the road. When wear bars are flush with the tread, it's time for replacement to ensure safe driving.
How often should I have my tires rotated?
Tires should be rotated every 5,000-8,000 miles to optimize wear, traction, and driving safety. Refer to your owner's manual for recommended rotation patterns.
What is tire balancing and why is it important?
Tire balancing evenly distributes vehicle weight across tires for a smooth, vibration-free ride. It should be done whenever tires are replaced.
What does a wheel alignment service involve?
Wheel alignment adjusts your vehicle’s suspension so wheels point in the right direction, reducing vibrations, extending tire life, and improving mileage.
