Family Mazda was a great experience! DeAndre Darby, our sales person was personable, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about all the vehicles. Logan Cottrell, the finance officer, was also very knowledgeable and made that part of the buying experience very easy. Five Stars to DeAndre and Logan as well to Family Mazda!!

The receptionist LaJerrica was so kind and helpful. I know I had so many questions and she was so patient with me. I really appreciate coming across genuine people who actually care about helping people. I don’t know what you’re paying this gal but it’s probably not enough. She definitely deserves raise!

I purchased a vehicle through Carvana. Through a third party warranty company they offered a coverage for the first 7,000 after receipt and advised me to take it to a shop for a diagnostic. The closest “in network” repair facility was 150 miles away, so I was referred due to special circumstances to Fmaily Mazda of Bossier City. After the diagnostic on my first visit (8/13/25), they informed me of the findings. The initial visit took several hours despite having an appointment. At the end, I was informed that they had contacted the 3rd party warranty provider and submitted the diagnostic test results and it would all be covered. The service desk guy (Cody) told me that they had to order some parts and would schedule another visit after they came in. Naively, I assumed from our conversation that he had initiated the claim that day and we were just waiting on parts to come in. Roughly 3 weeks later, I had not heard anything and called the dealership to discuss the status. I was informed that the part had come in the previous Friday (this was a Monday) and was asked if there was anything else. I asked if I could schedule another appointment with him or if I needed to talk to someone else. The 2nd appointment was scheduled for 8a. After the first hour and a half, Cody returned asking if I had a warranty. I explained that on my last visit I had a limited warranty through a party partnered with Carvana, and gave him the number. He later came back and stated that it wouldn’t be covered because I had exceeded the mileage. I told him that one of the issues was supposed to be covered through Mazda for the infotainment system, and asked if he had initiated the claim for the remaining issues on my last visit. He stated that he would call them again, but that a few of the findings were the result of basic wear on the vehicle. About 2 hours later he returned again stating that the infotainment system would need to have a cmu ordered to fix it and they would give me a call when it came in. I asked about the other issues and the status. I was informed that the third party warranty provider would not cover them as the warranty had by then expired. I attempted to call the warranty company and honor the claim from the date that it was initially submitted. The agent explained to me that the claim had never been submitted on my first visit. She only saw the claim with a start date of today (9/22/25). I am beyond irritated. The invoice for today has the expected costs of the parts that still need to be serviced and the main concerns which total over $1,200 that I will now have to pay out of pocket because the service manager didn’t start the claim from the initial visit as he informed me. Thank you Family Mazda for this headache. Your service staff clearly need to have their hands held as they do their jobs. After this review was posted, I was contacted by an employee with promises to rectify the situation. I returned yesterday for another appointment thinking that it would be fixed. The CMU was replaced, and the windshield wipers and air filters were changed out. Apparently I will be covering the full expenses for the valve gasket, tensioner and belt. So instead of it being covered under the warranty for the initial inspection, I will be paying out approximately $900. Don’t expect the friendly staff at Family Mazda to uphold their agreements unless you get it in writing.

This was a hassle-free experience. My sales rep, Darby, was very accommodating and was able to get my daughter a very good deal on a CX 50. We drove an hour to come to this dealer instead of going to local Mazda dealers where they were giving us really bad numbers. Would recommend this dealership to anyone.

I purchased a vehicle from Family Mazda in August and was issued a 60-day temporary tag. Before it expired, I was pulled over by law enforcement and informed that the tag was not valid. The officer initially planned to tow the car but allowed me to keep it after reviewing my paperwork. I had to contact the dealership and the police department to get the issue resolved, and fortunately, the ticket was dropped once the dealership corrected their mistake. As the 60 days were nearing expiration, I still hadn’t received my permanent plates. I was told they would arrive “any day now,” but after the expiration, I was given two short 5-day tags. The manager I had been communicating with stopped responding to my calls and messages, and I had to start dealing with another manager. He said he would overnight a new temp tag, which I never received. Ten days later, I was told my plates had finally arrived and would be sent overnight, but nearly a week later, I still hadn’t received them. This entire process has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I rely on my vehicle for work, and driving around with expired or invalid tags puts me at risk of being pulled over and ticketed again. Communication from the dealership has been poor, and there seems to be a serious lack of organization and accountability in their tag and title department. I would not recommend Family Mazda of Bossier City based on my experience.
