- DCDrake CruzOct 27, 20251.0Unsafe Camper, Ignored Warranty, and No Accountability I bought a brand-new Forest River Ozark travel trailer from Camping World of Bowling Green, and it’s been nothing but problems since day one. They’ve known for over a month and a half that my hot water doesn’t work, and still haven’t fixed it. My GFCI outlet went bad, they came out but didn’t fix it — now I have no power in any outlets. It’s 40 degrees, and I’m staying in this defective camper freezing my ass off while working six days a week. I’ve also discovered a propane leak — I smell gas every time I open the tanks, and already went through a full one trying to find it. Camping World keeps telling me to “bring it in,” even though it’s unsafe to tow and this is where I stay while I work. They expect me to miss work, lose income, pay for hotels, and go without a working unit — all for issues they’ve dragged their feet on fixing. When I brought up how defective it was, an employee told me “there’s no lemon law for campers.” That’s their excuse for avoiding responsibility. I’m now working with the Kentucky Attorney General under the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act for breach of warranty and consumer trust. Do not buy from this company. Once they get your money, they don’t care about your safety or their warranty promises.
