  Very mixed on this. When they first became Strickland Brothers, I took my car and it was so overpriced, we didn't go back. My husband normally does the oil changes, but he was out of town, so we took my daughters car about a month ago. Great experience, 25% discount for her working for the schools. Last night we took my son's car. They couldn't get the oil filter off and told us to take it to a mechanic because if they broke it they didn't have the means to fix it. That was fine, but as soon as we pulled out of the garage, his oil light was on. We parked an went and got the guy from inside. THEY DRAINED THE OIL AND DIDN'T REFILL IT. This could have been the end of his car. Luckily my son caught the light and we only drove to the end of the parking lot. We have busy schedules and it is always a chore to get an appointment with a mechanic for a simple oil change, drop the car off, pick it up, etc. It would be nice if we could find a place we can ALWAYS trust to do things right.

  I left Strickland Brothers very disappointed and with serious concerns about their honesty. The technician told me my car required a more expensive “European synthetic” oil change and claimed that using anything else would void my warranty. That immediately raised a red flag, so I called Kia directly, they confirmed this was completely false. I was quoted $113 before tax, but when I went to pay, the total was $120 before tax. When I questioned the difference, I was told they “forgot to add the $5 shop supplies.” Even then, the math still didn’t line up. It felt like they were making up charges on the spot. Between the misinformation about my warranty and the inconsistent pricing, I lost all confidence in their transparency. I would strongly advise anyone considering this location to double-check what you’re told and compare prices before agreeing to any service.
