We had a fantastic experience purchasing a car at McCarthy Olathe Hyundai. Tom Schneider helped us and he was an absolute pleasure to work with! It was one of the easiest and most straightforward car buying experiences I've ever had. He and Shawn worked with us to get the best possible deal on a Palisade and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Everyone at the dealership down to the finance team made our first Hyundai purchase a fantastic experience! Thank you!

Had an absolutely wonderful experience working with McCarthy and especially Jesse. He was knowledgeable, admitted when he wasn’t certain, wasn’t pushy or manipulative, followed up, took care of us, kept us updated and never complained. Have had many negative experiences in the past and been lied to and Jesse truly went above and beyond in every way. Visited other dealerships and no other experience compares. This is the best Hyundai dealership in town!

Decided I should probably change my review I apologize for being emotional and upset initially upon purchase of my 2025 santa fe, I was really in shock and upset that I had traded my elantra n line in because it was such a dramatic change going to a SUV from a car I have been used to for so long and I loved it more than I realized... But now that I have taken some time to get used to the Santa Fe it has been really good and no issues so far, and I want to rerate you guys as 5 stars because you all did help me get into something more comfortable and more useful in the long run for my family. My mother loves it, sister loves it and it does really well for us! I hope you all will forgive and allow us to have business again one day with ya'll once I get paid off!

Well the buying process is easy and the salespeople are pretty good, however, be advised if you get a Kia or Hyundai that does not have a push button start, it can still be stolen even with the antilock system. I was unaware of this and thought I was good since the Kia I bought had the antilock system but no, it got stolen I haven’t had the car for three months. I regret trading my Camry in for this car. I also found out from a friend that they have Kia Boyz in KC that specifically target these cars and steal them all the time. The dealership also gives you a 90 day warranty and it’s hard getting questions answered on what the warranty covers because I was having some issues with the car and was told I was going to get a call back from my salesperson and didn’t.

This is my first online review ever and hope that settles in for anyone questioning accurate reviews. I felt the need to do so and warn. If I could give negative stars I would. I can only assume the positive reviews are prompted by benefits based on my experience. I bought a Suburban from McCarthy a year ago with the "100 plus" point inspection security only to drive it off the lot (actual same day) and have transmission, suspension, electrical issues from the beginning, totaling $15,000 plus in repair. Those repairs have continued with issues every 2 months or so. I have spent over $6,000 in repairs recently and, with financial restraints, been forced to ignore a $4,000 repair needed to recoup A/C in the car. What was interesting is the mechanic at McCarthy tried to be very helpful and said confidentially he knew there were major problems with the Suburban we bought and then was let go a few months later. Fast forward. I have I have a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe serviced regularly by Olathe Hyundai. The heat went out last winter and I took it to Olathe Hyundai on three different occasions including oil change and concern about the heater not working. They completed the oil change and ran a diagnostic test on the heater for approx $170 and simply said the car was low on fluid. It was perplexing to pay an oil change plus diagnostic assuming any mechanic would check fluid levels on a routine checkup before a diagnostic test. The next day, the heater did not work. After bringing the car back two different times and paying $1700, the problem being blamed a leak, and then a thermostat, the problem was never fixed. Always resulting in no heat the next day. I asked to speak to an actual mechanic only to get little Jo and high school front line staff who had no idea what was going on. When I reached out to McCarthy administrator, Kyle, by phone and email, I got no response. I recently took the Hyundai to a reputable mechanic as it is approaching cold temps again, briefed them on the history of heating issue and within 30 minutes were able to report a blown gasket, requiring engine replacement. Coincidentally, my Hyundai was under 100,000 miles (98,000 when I took it to McCarthy Hyundai) during these times, falling under the warranty that would have been covered. The car now has 102,000 miles with a accurate diagnosis and no longer falls under the known issue Hyundai has with these cars. If you want honest, do not go to McCarthy. The corporate mindset in dollars is their concern and not the family of seven I have who rely on me to provide safe travels. Everyone should note McCarthy marketing/ AI to response to this post with a empty sorry so it appears better online and no offering of reconciling. I will let you know otherwise.
