  Horrible customer service!! Unfortunately I was trying to get my son’s new camero in service because he goes to college in Olatha. His key fobs were not working and they refused to help even though the car his under warranty. We now have to have a tow truck come get his car and take it back 75 miles because they are refusing to fix it. I will never buy a car from this dealership. The service advisor even told me to take it where you bought it!! If I could give them a 0 stars I would.

  This is the 2nd vehicle we've purchased thru McCarthy although they have been from different locations each time. I find them to be very attentive, respectful and professional. They really seem to be appreciative of your business and go out of their way to get things done for you. The person I dealt with this time around was Phil Hougland and he did a great job getting me into my 2020 Traverse. He even set up all the account stuff for the apps and onstar and all those things so that I could get the most enjoyment. He also contacted me after 3 days to make sure everything was going good. Several others from McCarthy even contacted me to congratulate me on my new purchase even though I didn't end up buying from them specifically. I would definitely recommend them and will go to them first on my next purchase.

  The Sales Team is OK. But their Service Department Treatment of Customers is a ongoing disgrace. You will not be welcomed, will be hurried up, talked down like your a dog or servant and the viewpoint they have is they doing you a favor by letting you service the vehicle at McCarthy Chevrolet. They do it to other customers i have seen it first hand. Want to go over your service invoice? Good luck. They never do and when you insist on it they get angry at you. The second time such behavior occurred to me, I spoke with Health the Service Director and he assured me such behavior would not continue to happen, is not acceptable, I would be treated as valued customer next time, and he would speak with his team about this. This has happened to me three times in the past year or so when I brought in the new truck I bought from them in 2024 for regular service. The final time was this week and the same treatment occurred again for a third time. I was on track to buy a brand new 2026 pickup from them when they found one with the sound system I needed. But driving home I was very angry at once again being treated like dirty by the service team and woke up pissed off at them then next AM still angry. I came to conclusion I was NOT going to buy another vehicle from them BECAUSE THEY DO NOT DESERVE MY BUSINESS. WHY would I spend tens of thousands of dollars with them, on a new truck, just to subject myself to such treatment down they road by the service department? I let the salesperson Jeff know via Email why and that he did not nothing wrong and In detail what caused him to lose the sale. To by crystal clear.. The Service Team cost the dealership a new truck sale, the lose of my business forever, and after thinking about it for a couple of days this review. I brought a brand new 2026 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 from Van Chevrolet yesterday 10-11-25 and was treated like a human being and with dignity and respect and their honesty and integrity are above reproach. Do NOT buy another vehicle from them McCarthy Chevrolet. NOT because of the sales team BUT because you will not be treated with decency and respect by the upfront service team and NO ONE deserves to be treated like they treat customers. Even worse 72 hours after things went south they STILL have not had the courtesy to reach to me via phone and apologize for how I was treated. I think this by itself speaks volume. Just do not do it folks. Go to Van Chevrolet or go elsewhere to buy your vehicles but not this dealership. You deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Period.
