I had some questions about my extended warranty. Tiffany Shelton in Finance was extremely helpful, and followed up and gave stellar service. I can definitely recommend this dealership!

Just to put this simply the service department at Romain Buick GMC. Seems competent, but they’re not very helpful. I own a 2022 GMC Sierra . My Sierra now has 55,000 miles on it. I’ve been through five engines and this time my transmission actually has started dumping transmission fluid all over the ground. Romain Buick is refusing service because they said the last GM dealership that put an engine in my truck Did some improper work almost 2 years ago and now they’re saying I have to take the vehicle to Louisville 156 miles away. I can’t drive it. My business requires that I drive a truck, That’s why I have one. Their service advisor Amber was really doing a good job trying to help me out was getting me into a loaner vehicle and then after 9:30 yesterday morning wouldn’t return a call or a text the service advisor. Justin has been nice, but I haven’t heard back from him either.. three days without a vehicle And still no Answer on what needs to be done. I guess the part that taking care of your customer Got past Romain Buick GMCs service department. My truck is under Factory warranty, and it even has an open recall on the engine and still they refuse to work on it.smh

I bought a 2020 ford explorer xlt from here in june of 2024. This june i had to take it in and have 4k worth of problems fixed. Now I'm having to put in 11k for a new transmission. I went in this evening to get something different and they wanted to put me in something older and end up paying 51k for an older car. They refused to help with the first issue and they have refused to make this recent issue right. My husband and I have been a returning customer and my son in law even bought a truck from here. I will not be back and I won't be recommending them to anyone. I keep up with the maintenance on my car and I take care of my vehicles. These issues shouldn't be happening after just a yr of purchase or a yr and a half.

It sounds like most people have had a positive experience here, but I had the exact opposite. My Buick has a recall on the airbags, so I booked a service appointment on their website with a note that I needed my airbag serviced due to a recall. I called the day before to see if I could drop off my car the night before and to verify it would be done the next day. I told them I was dropping it off due to my airbags being recalled and I had an appointment for the next day. They looked up my appointment and had me verify my phone number. When I drop it off, I told them I am dropping it off due to an air bag recall. After I drop it off, the next day they call and state they could not do anything because they do not have the parts. I spent an hour driving to the dealership from Owensboro to drop off the vehicle and then an hour coming back home. The next day I drove back and forth another hour each way to pick up the vehicle, which they did not touch. I wasted 4 hours driving because no one looked at the appointment, even though I had multiple points of contact with the dealership. I would stay clear of their service department!

The 2 stars are strictly because of Amber in the service department. She was extremely helpful with questions and information. As for the actual service department, definitely a let down. Earlier this year, my 2022 AT4 was at this location for 3 months for a vibration at normal operating speeds (between 38-42 mph). My service advisor at the time was Mark Ubelhor, who was fantastic with communication and working towards getting the issues resolved. There were multiple diagnostic tests done to find the source of the problem and it was finally pinpointed to the tail shaft of the transmission and the front of the prop shaft by a pico scope. The technicians were never able to find the source and I was advised that if the vibration persisted or worsened to bring the truck back. Recently I had noticed that the vibration had gotten worse and was now present starting at around 28 mph. I returned the truck to the service department. At this point Mark was no longer working in the service department and Ryan was now the service advisor. Ryan was great at the beginning but communications were non existent when I would call to for any updates. I believe someone had mentioned he had taken vacation, if that was the case then I understand, that’s no fault of his. I then get a message from Connor in place of Ryan stating that the recalls have been completed. I sent a message in return, and after a few days of calling I never received a reply. After the 3rd call I was finally put in contact with Amber. She let me know what had been done and what the technician had put in the notes. This is where my issue lies. The previous service records show where the issue had been pin pointed as stated above. The technicians note state that the truck has a bed full of tools (a ladder and a few roofing materials) and that the rotors are grooved. The note states that the rotors are the cause of the vibration. Generally, I could agree with this, BUT, if the brakes were the cause of the vibration, it would also be present while the brakes are being applied which it is not. The vibration is ONLY present while the accelerator is being applied or the vehicle is at normal speeds, not when the brakes are applied. When the acceleration load is disengaged the vibration is not present and then resumes when the accelerator is reengaged. I have been patient and more than willing to cooperate and work with everyone to resolve the issues over the past months and I have explained these symptoms to multiple people but the issue has still yet to be resolved. The vehicle still carries a factory drivetrain warranty and these are drivetrain issues that need to be addressed and resolved.
