Was looking for a good uses vehicle. They had a 2016Jeep Cherokee Limited that was I really good condition. The salesperson did a great job for me. Getting the vehicle set on a loan was easy. Was impressed by the friendly atmosphere there in the dealership.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I honestly believe this is the kind of dealership that would look you in the eye and lie to your face. They have no integrity. They have no sense of responsibility when their vehicles are having problems despite being near new. They won’t check warranties, or extended warranties. They will literally spit in your face, call it rain, and up charge you for the time they spend degrading and belittling you. I have a 2023 Hyundai Palisade calligraphy. It was purchased with 8k miles on it. Within a year of me owning it, a motor in the driver’s seat went out. It caused the cooled seats to stop working completely and if the cooled seat button is inadvertently hit, it makes all the heat and cool functions stop. I took it to Hyundai of Evansville to have it checked out due to it being under manufacture’s warranty. The building was under construction. It was loud and uncomfortable. The mechanics could be heard through the common area as well as the construction workers cussing and what not. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but there were small children inside the waiting area hearing every F bomb dropped. There were not enough seats to accommodate the amount of people waiting. It was miserable. Again, I get that being under construction is a mess. But the amount of care and consideration they gave people who had already made a purchase was ZERO! Close to 3 hours later they told me I would have to come back because they don’t have the part to fix the seat. After close to 3 weeks waiting on the part they were finally able to let me know it had came in and I could schedule the service. The next service appointment they had was nearly a month out. I ended up not being able to make my service appointment due to a family emergency (sons appendix). I understand that is on me. I was able to cancel the appointment and let them know I’d reschedule it. I called them back about 2 months later once everything had settled down and was told that they no longer had the part, and since my mileage was over 60k they would no longer cover the part under warranty. They wanted over $600 to fix the part that should not have broke on a near new car. They did not even ask nor check to see if the extended warranty I purchased with this car would cover the part. They also did not mention any of the recalls on this car that I was told had to be handled by a Hyundai dealership. If you want to buy a Hyundai and you live in the Evansville area, I pray you avoid this dealership. It is all about $$. They are belligerent both in the sales and service areas regardless if little ears can hear. If they can find a loophole to get out of performing warranty work on a vehicle, they will. My personal vehicle is a 2023 palisade calligraphy. It is literally 2 years old. I drive quite a bit for work so I have put on quite a few miles on it. Since purchase, I have replaced 2 windshields from a rock chipping it. I have had the driver’s seat motor go out, a seatbelt sensor go out on the front passenger seat, and the battery had to be replaced when it was just over a year old. To add fuel to the fire, the recalls are big enough issues that it will require me to be without my car for the work to be performed. I would rather drive to Bloomington to Andy Mohr Hyundai or Louisville to get the work done on this car than step foot in this place again. They have no desire to do right by people. While most dealerships have some shady practices this place takes that to a whole different level. If you want to be taken advantage of and charged a premium for it, the best dealership in Evansville to go to is Hyundai of Evansville.

Our Sales Person, Mr. Steven Collison is an excellent representative of Hyundai of Evansville. From our initial contact, Steve was focused on first understanding our needs and then finding the exact 2026 Hyundai Kona that fulfilled our criteria. He took the time to learn who will be the main driver and identify their unique attributes and preferences. Because of Steve’s focus, we are confident our Granddaughter is now driving a quality vehicle that is very safe, reliable, and stylish. Thank you, Steve Collison!

The attendants were kind and courteous. A simple oil change and tire rotation appeared to be extensively thorough and well documented. My problem is not with the service attendants but with the service department and more specifically the dealership in general. Every vehicle I’ve contractually purchased at Hyundai I’ve done so with three years of free oil change and tire rotations. Yet with every oil change I have been flagged with at least two critical problems that require “immediate attention” that are uncovered charges. A simple “denial” of these problems by me would seem likely to be documented and affect any future warranty (on the unlikely event one was needed).or recall services. For example, an engine compartment filter was removed and pictured in the critical service request (waiting for my approval) text. These filters run around $20 yet the cost was more than double. I get the charge per service part but the filter was already removed and had to be reinstalled anyway before I denied anything. I purchased this vehicle new with 45 miles on it and only seven months into ownership, yet still charged more than $85 anyway for “immediate attention” problems. I went ahead and approved the services but wanted to express my displeasure for the way these free oil changes are misleading at the time of contractual agreement. I understand the cost of oil these days and the current economic crisis, so please do not lectured me on its cost or purpose. I service equipment daily as a senior maintenance mechanic at Astra Zeneca, and also a proud IBEW Journeyman electrician. My point: you should remove the free oil change/rotation from your deal-makings or become more transparent, because the end result is still a huge expense at each so-called free service.

I bought an Elantra from this place in April of this year. The salesperson that I was put through to was absolutely terrible. Caleb was rude and pushy. I have three kids and was about to start a new job with a considerable drive and wanted a fuel efficient car. I was very anxious about the new job and the driving and everything and I was hoping to get the car before I started the job but I also live 1.5hrs away from Evansville. The salesperson told me that I had to purchase the vehicle before the end of the month to get a "better price" on it. Because they did not have the color I wanted, it would need to be delivered so I needed a timeframe on the delivery because I needed to arrange with my husband and my children as it is not easy to drive 1.5hrs there and back and then buy the car as my husband works also and I would need someone to come with me. I needed an estimate on the time frame the car would be delivered because they did not have the color I wanted, which was DARK gray and I TOLD him this on the phone. He then tells me that he CANT tell me what time the car will be there and to just put the deposit and I can pick it up later. I told him I did not feel comfortable with that and needed an estimate on the time the car would be delivered for arrangements. He refused to work with me and was pushy and rude until I finally said to him that I did not NEED the car right now and was not going to put anything down until I knew I could arrange the pick up. FINALLY he got with his manager and was able to inform me of a time for the delivery and I could work out the pick up. When I get there the car is a SILVER color. I was starting the job the next day and so I was just accepting this even though I did not want this color. During the purchasing process the salesperson was off doing other things the most of the time and I was left sitting there just waiting for over 20 minutes on more than one occasion. He KNEW I had my kids waiting for us at home, had a 1.5hr drive and had to arrange with my husband and his job. He said that he was going to go put the temporary license plate on the car when we were getting close to done. When the paperwork was signed he STILL had NOT put the temporary license plates on the car, I LITERALLY had to walk around trying to find him and then he was on the phone with someone. A different person had to help us and put the temporary license plate on the car. Overall the entire experience was awful. In hindsight I wish I would have told them to either get me a different salesperson or gone to a different dealership. I was in an anxious state due to the situation with starting a job and everything and did not stand up for myself and told them I was not going to work with him anymore. Also that he got the wrong color car. Now I have had my car for some months and the seats are AWFUL. I did get the lowest trim level, so I am not sure if that is part of it, but the seats are literally cupped and have a rounded lumbar area. I have chronic low back pain and it is causing me to have terrible pain. I have had to use pillows and blankets to help provide lumbar support. In addition the heating system is inconsistent and at 78 degrees the car can be blowing out cool air and then at 81 it is burning hot. Because of this I am going to trade my car in for a different Hyundai hybrid with hopefully better lumbar support but I will not be doing it here.
