The worst customer service experience I've ever had at any business in my life. From the second I stepped into the service department Ed and other staff members had an arrogant, condescending and argumentative attitude. I was ridiculed for having winterized my camper prior to dropping it off for the warranty work to be done, even after explaining that I didn't want my water lines to freeze on a brand new camper (common sense I thought). After months of them holding onto my camper saying they couldn't work on it due to an issue with warranty claim (and subsequently getting the claim approved, no help from Camping World) they charged me almost $200 in "inspection" fees. When I asked both the dealer I purchased my camper from from and forest River warranty department about it, they both explained that the entire cost should be covered under warranty and that if I'm being charged it's because camping world is "double dipping" on inspection charges and up charging their customers. When I explained this to the service manager she told me that I didn't know what I was talking about and the way they charge is normal even after I explained to her that I had just gotten off the phone with Forrest River warranty directly and they assured me it was not right. The service department even said if I had bought the camper from them they wouldn't charge me but because I bought it from somewhere else, I'm getting charged. How is that allowed for warranty work? When I finally got the camper back after the work was completed, the water pump was frozen solid, there was no way for me to re-winterize my camper. The sight glass for the inlet to the water pump was full of ice and I couldn't turn any of the water valves due to them being frozen solid. After finding this out I was incredibly angry at the thought of the possibility of tens of thousands of dollars in damage being done to our brand new camper potentially. After taking my camper back into camping world and explaining what had happened, they said they would refund me the $190 bogus "inspection" fees and they would repair any damages and fully test the water systems. The very next morning Ed once again was very argumentative stating there was never any water in the lines and that I didn't know what I was talking about. Even though I explained to him that you could clearly see ice in the sight glass for the water pump inlet, the valves were frozen and the pump was frozen solid. Also, if there was never any water in the lines like they claim, why would they run antifreeze through it the second time? Doesn't make sense. They also stated they would not refund me the money they agreed upon the night before. The shotty work I can understand, accidents happen, but the arguing, lies and horrible attitude toward customers along with horrible business practices is appalling. Unfortunately I know know first hand why so many people HATE camping world.
