  From the moment my sister and I walked in Camping World, Wauconda, we were greeted by the receptionist, Carrie. She patiently guided my sister through the parking lot to the sales building. That place is HUGE! After talking to Carrie for a while it seemed like my sister and her shared some friends in the past. She introduced us to Terry Terchin, our salesperson. I thing I got lucky when I met Terry, Sometimes you never know what kind of salesperson you are going to get but Terry was a GOOD LISTENER right from the get go. He showed me several models he thought I would like and then he saved the best for last - A BRAND NEW 2024 Alpha Wolf Cherokee. The manager, Dave, gave me the best price that suited my budget. Terry took our loan app and I was out the door hoping to get approved in the next few days. After the approval, Randy, the demo guy, gave me a tour of my camper and what I needed to know. I was very new at this. After that, Terry bought my sister and I subs because he knew it was going to be a while. Jessica, the financing person, took care of me with utmost professionalism and precision. She made this process as short and smooth as possible. After that, Kari, the retail person, took me around to buy some things I needed. Like I said, I was new at this. We were told that Patrick, the service manager would deliver the camper to my site in Antioch. He lived in Kenosha and he would drop it off on his way home. How exciting! There are no words that can express the gratitude I have for Patrick, especially showing me the ins and outs of camping. Camping World, when you say WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, I know what you mean.   We recently purchased our first 5th wheel from Camping World. We were newbies to the 5th wheel experience, (we traded off a travel trailer) so we went in blind, the sales team and service department were over the top. They went above and beyond any expectation we could have had. The knowledge they have is excellent, which only comes from experience. If you are in the market for a camper, dont waste your time anywhere else. Go see Terry and the crew in Camping World Wauconda, IL. I have to tell you about the amazing service team! They worked thier butts of to make our experience the best and to ensure our safety. Again, the true definition of outstanding customer service, they over nighted parts to be sure we were safe in our travels home to DSM, Ia. Truly, I can't brag this team up enough.. (Kevin, Chad, Kirk, Patrick, Dave and Mike) THANK YOU! We will definitely make the trip again.

  We worked with Blake on a consignment of our camper and had a great experience. He made the process easy and did his best to workout a compromise between ourselves and the buyers. In the end we sold it for a lot less than what we wanted, but that was not Blakes fault, rather the nature of the beast. I think anyone looking into buying a camper should do proper research into prices, depreciation and their actual needs to ensure there is no disappointment in the long run. We are thankful to Blake for all his efforts and if we ever wanted to buy a different RV, would definitely go back to him to do the purchase.

  Our sales rep - Tim - was great. Would give him 5 stars for knowledge, responsiveness, a clear and honest negotiation process, and someone I would work with again. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience ruined it. The finance rep - Jess - was less than helpful with answering questions prior to signing day. That could have been okay (maybe she was having a busy day), but then signing day was almost unbelievable. After politely listening to the pitch on extended warranty and coverage and declining, she refused to listen and move on. This wasn’t the normal sales push (very used to that from dozens of vehicle and rv purchases), this was like being trapped in a timeshare sales-pitch hell. Literally would not listen to like 6 or 7 polite declines. We were actually ready to walk out on the deal just because of her literally refusing to listen. Then when she finally gave up on the pitch, her behavior turned from her fake-polite persona to the silent treatment. She stopped talking - apparently because she was upset? It reminded me of a child’s behavior if they didn’t get there way. It’s hard to fathom this actually happening in real life. It was fine for us, though, that was better than the relentless sales pitch. If things had ended there, I probably would not have given this review. But the troubles have continued post-sale as it has been 2 months since our purchase and we still don’t have the title work completed nor do we have a license plate. CW has contacted us about 3 different things which Jess ‘forgot’ to collect in the paperwork. We paid them to collect and process this information, but now I have had to take up my time to gather this info (eg to take pictures for them). It’s wild. We are currently held up because of Jess’ incompetency and we can’t get an inspection until everything is in.

  If you are selling your camper with them,do not go by what they tell you , only of its on paper. They gave us a price but did not say depends on condition, then when it was in their possession the price dropped by thousands, due to things needed fixed. If we would have known that, we would have fixed a few things. They said we would need to pay $60 for a new propane tank?! Not our responsibility to give someone free propane! The tank was with camper, which could switch out for free. A few other things they listed were a bit ridiculous and the prices were def high. Be very cautious with this place!
