I bought my rv new in 2022. Had the motor on my slide break 5 times ($4,000 each time) but at least was covered by the good sam warranty but it just kept breaking. Was going to Camping World Dekalb. They tried to figure out why it was breaking but didn't know why. They tried replacing more mounts, rollers... Still broke after a short time. That dealer closed so this time went to this camping world and they found the same the slide motor was broken. They dug deeper than the previous guys and found a mess of cracked welds and cracked beam to the frame of the slide. They got it back together and so far so good. Time will tell if this was the cause but with as big of a mess that the welds were and twisting of the supports it really makes sense. I feel really confident its behind me. Big shout out to James the tech for his skill and effort in finding a solution and not just patch it and send it back out the door. They also worked with Thor to get them to help pick up the tab since this has been a problem since it was almost new.

Sales tactic from finance officer. Hidden fees. Covered with his hands stating if you want this loan you have to get other warranties. Took rv out 1st time. Bedroom door fell off. Water heaters were not crimped right. I had to trace down and fixed before showering. Started raining. Started to use awning. Well it had some holes. Tried getting fixed but camping world is blowing me off. Manager is trying to say he will turn into warranty. But warranty will say you backed into something. Well i have no reason to lie its brand new. No trees where it went to pull in ti camp. I have no reason to lie I work in maintenance on campus. Superviser. This place is unjust. Seems like all they care about is the dotted line. I would not trust them even on inspection. The owners words. Something like. If gour not happy I'm not happy. Is worthless he doesnt care either. I tried c calling him. Still today no reply on replacing awning. I have been going thru cuff surgery. So this isn't important yet but to them they do not want to cover like there suppose too. Do not go there.

Left a 5 star review 10 months ago and just deleted it because of the way we have been treated at this place. Buyers beware. The first camper we purchased - walked in December 2023 with full intentions of sitting down and purchasing. Our sales guy was cool and very nice but getting numbers from the finance department was terrible! They didn’t even sit down with us to give us numbers and we were the ONLY people there. Crazy. Guess everyone is making money that sales isn’t a thing? Anyway, after my wife and I were clearly upset that we wasted time, I said to my wife I bet a manager calls and asks why we didn’t sit down with anyone and I explained that we didn’t go there to browse and that we were ready to purchase and had models in mind. Of course the manager saw dollar signs and couldn’t believe what had happened. We ended up purchasing a great camper. Former management was a tool and very rude at time of pickup. We were an inconvenience apparently and you could tell he was having a bad day but we were the targets. Mechanics/techs did the walk through and they were great but again you could tell we were being rushed.
Fast forward to again late Nov 2024. We went in to trade our camper in and see bigger options. Staff had changed as well as management and they looked at our old files and heard our previous experience and wanted to make it right. So we thought….when purchasing they were all smiles and did everything right….just about the time while we realized items were missing in our camper. We upgraded in size and added more to our overall purchase cost by doing so (which we didn’t have to but we wanted more room which = more $). We ended up scheduling service for an upgrade for backup cameras - I ended up being talked into a better camera = more $ and I was looking for an install on a slide-out awning to be installed before a big trip. Had all this worked out, went in got the cameras installed, but they “forgot” to order the awning. Huh? How about hey we are going to get this done ASAP, or we will try everything to get this done prior to your trip or when you come back. We ended up going on our trip and realize our brand new camper and grill had missing pieces. Griddle is missing and the hookups were missing. My wife calls and the service manager tells my wife to “use a pan!” So you buy a brand new camper and you’re missing items and you just tell my wife to go pound sand? Calling the store to speak with the manager Bryan Lieser was like the worst phone tag and the front desk has to be told to play games with customers. It’s a joke. Finally get ahold of Bryan and he says he can t believe the run around I’ve been getting and he wants to make it right. Well his last name is LIESer because it’s been since July since our last conversations and I still have ZERO replacements for my grill and an awning that was supposed to be at discounted price to “make it right.” This has been the WORST experience from Camping World and I will have to say this plays sucks. Buying brand new TWICE from them I should have learned the first time. Stay far away from this place! You have been warned.
