But I was about to go on a road trip and I wasn’t confident that I had solved it. They checked it out and confirmed it was doing pretty good, but if I wanted to be positive they recommended a simple part replacement. They said they could do it but that considering what I’d already worked on they said I’d have no problem doing it myself. It’s not like they would have made a fortune off of pushing to do it themselves or something more expensive but it was a class move and very helpful.

Don’s was referred to me by another woman at Jiffy Lube and this, I kid you not, was the best car experience I’ve ever had. They didn’t try upsell me or convince me my problem was bigger than it was—they were honest, efficient and rad as hell. I had a scare on Front Street today that made me think my alternator was going out, but Don’s straight up told me I just had a bit of corrosion on a battery connection. They cleaned it up, ran some tests and took the ole car for a spin to be on the safe side before sending me on my way. I’m blown away and have already referred another friend. If I ever have another car issue while in the Treasure Valley, I’ll be coming back to Don’s for life.

There multiple things that could have caused the issue my truck was having with the heater and Brandon called me to say he’s not comfortable charging me for something if he’s not confident it will resolve the issue. We ended up doing a heater core flush which made my heater work as good as when it was new. Fantastic service, friendly guys and fair price!
