New update: look at the bumper when i got the car, and the grainy image of "damage" when i returned it .. Are you kidding? Update: still no reply, even after contacting their "support". Update... Replied to their email a WEEK ago, no response (yet they gave me a deadline to pay them).Total scam . 2 days after dropping off the car, I get an email that their "automated scanner" found a scratch on the bumper, and that i owe $1200. Since I'm not there, how can i defend this? I got a grainy pic of dirt, that's somehow proof of damage? I took pics when i picked up the car, the bumper was covered in chips and scratches... But somehow I have to pay for this? Used them before, but never again. Find a company that checks the car with a human when you return it, what a scam. Their automated system is just a way to milk renters. I guess they value short term revenue over loyal, repeat customers. Wish I never used them, total nightmare. Thought I was having a good experience... Then I come home to this nonsense. Time to get the credit card, car insurance, and lawyer on this. Maybe respect your customers instead of trying to get them to pay for previous damages that you never actually fixed? I wonder how many previous customers were also billed for the same bumper that was never actually repaired? Pics are of the bumper when I picked it up, yet i scratched it? Are you kidding? Find a better way to generate revenue.

Be careful when you receive a damage claim from SIXT! SIXT blamed me for a scratch and refused to provide evidence.
SIXT is my only bad experience in Hawaii. First, you had to wait 30+ min for the next available staff to check you in. SIXT said you could skip the counter, but never sent you the necessary information. Second, you don't get the car model you asked for. I reserved BMW X5 and got BMW X6 which has much less cargo space. I ended up waiting for another 20+ min until the next BMW X5 became available.
Finally, a month later, I got a damage claim showing the rim is scratched. SIXT automatically took photos of the rim when I picked up and returned the car. However, none of the photos at pick-up time actually captured the part of the damaged area. SIXT blamed me for a scratch and refused to provide evidence. Damage claim department is not reachable by phone call and provides wrong operating hours in automatic answering system. I do have insurance coverage. But I believe SIXT should not get away with charging their damages to innocent insured customers. Linking the photos here. Do not rent a car with this company. We had rented two separate cars for our trip in Hawaii and one of our renters was denied a seven seater because of his age, when he had previously already put in and provided his license and wasn’t notified that he was unable to rent a 7 seater. We eventually got a car but was charged for the 7 seater we couldn’t even drive as well as a the other car. The staff member who aided us was understanding and helped us out a lot. Our other friend who rented the other car was TRIPLE charged. Eventually he had those charges back onto his card thankfully but he was unable to use his card for suspicion of fraud. For our friend who had to get a different car, midway through the trip the cars oil light had come on, requiring us to refill the car ourselves. Honestly we understood that mistakes happen so we just went on like nothing happened. The worst part is that after we returned the rentals we had received an email claiming damages to one of our cars. The funniest part was we had taken videos of our car before departing including dates that show the damage that has already been done. It was a scratch on the passenger side view mirror. My friend has sent an email regarding the double charge and false damage claim and have yet to hear from them. I don’t know if this was internal problem with the staff (who were friendly and tried to help) or with the company itself, but the fact that they claimed we damaged the car after all this is insane to me. Again the staff were all great, this really does seem like a company wide fault. I don’t know if this was a isolated occurrence which I really hope it is, but we’d rather never rent from Sixt as a company than possibly dealing with this again.

Saw the other reviews for car rentals at OGG so I canceled one and rented with SIXT. I had never heard of SIXT but took a shot. Perfect transaction! Downloaded the app and did all the verifications and when we landed had both an email and notification to pick our car and it would be waiting for us (no line!). It was! Proceeded to the rental garage picked up the keys and we were on our way. Had to return super early in the am, no problem, drove in, left it and the keys in a very clearly marked instructions. Could not have been easier. Also they do have you drive through a scanner coming and going, which I believe helps with dent disputes!

Unexpected fee. The car was ok, a few dings and the phone/ car interface connection was a little strange. But it drove fine. I found out four seasons had a sixt car rental return. That was more convinent for me. I called to see if there would be an extra fee for me to return there. After being put on hold I was told I could return there for no additional fee. I did. Then got an invoice with a $75 one way fee. I called and was told it was a mandatory fee. They offered a $50 dollar credit. I declined since I had been told there would be no fee and said I was going to report to my credit card. They then agreed to refund the $75. I still waiting for confirmation. Check your invoices. My experience makes me doubt their integrity.
