If you use mobile check-in, on top of pulling the usual trick of claiming your reserved car isn't available, then force you to pay extra for any other option. When I complained, they told me I’d have to drive back to the airport, wasting my own gas and time, just to get the car I actually reserved.

Even though I had a photo of my license on my phone, Sixt wouldn't rent me my prepaid car. Neither Sixt nor Expedia were willing to refund my money. Avoid at all costs.

Airplane delayed for 3hrs for unexpected aircraft maintenance. I contacted Sixt before flying for the delay. And when I directly went to Sixt for picking up after landing. The shop was closed. They closed @10:30. So got taxi to hotel $150 finally at midnight . Expedia says if you want refund . You have to contact Sixt directly. I contacted both of them so many times . And the second day called them again before I back to airport Sitx . Of course extra cost for transportation. I planned to either get the car or just cancel it. So we could talk face to face. And the guy from Sixt wanted to give me electric car (that’s not what I booked . And then he wanted to give me a convertible car and with full insurance $65/day on top. I refused. I was going to cancel the booking finally. He sent a girl staff to deal with it. So I called Expedia with the girl staff together for the cancellation and refund. I thought it would be straightforward. Expedia didn’t gave instant reply because they have to contact Sixt. The girl told me the other department of Sixt is dealing with the refund. Usually they would approve so I could just wait. So I left. And afew days after I got a final reply from Expedia couldn’t get approval from Sixt and I couldn’t get any refund. What a joke? Everything I have proof. Usually I don’t give any negative reviews.
