    Like other single star review. I am in a process to dispute a scratch damage. We did not have any incident in our trip and the car went well. Since our flight was 24+hours on arrival, I haven't filled the self assessment nor the car was checked with their employee. Please be aware that any scratch (any size based on other review) can be used for future claim on their part. They do not seems to allow for any cosmetic issue. Take a video with close up of any defect both on arrival and departure and keep it. We took photos on our departure fortunately and will hopefully be able to resolve this issue without too much hassle. We started our trip with their extra insurance but I later called to cancel it since I already had coverage. Unfortunately, this seems to "trig" their system to fault you in order to make enough profit since you haven't taken the extra ! Based on other review this seems to be their modus operandy !

    i feel compelled to leave this review to help future customers. i saw alot of bad reviews before my trip. i had a VERY good experience. i know that traveling to Hawaii is alot of flying and mentally exausting. make sure you read the rental agreement they email you and find existing damage in the pdf at the bottom before leaving the garage to protect yourself. yes, they will put a $500 hold on your card. i got mine back before i even landed home in FL i drive 386 miles and topped off the tank before bringing the car back. follow the signage at HNL for dropoff, it was easy. i dont want others to be afraid to rent here because of bad reviews. do youre due diligence. FYI i am a truckdriver so i am very use to pre-tripping vehicles i am unfamiliar with. im throwing in a couple pics from one of the hikes i did. hawaii is so beautiful, my wife and i are so grateful

    We reserved a Toyota Tacoma for our trip weeks in advance. We were informed less than 24 hours from our reservation that the Honolulu location doesn’t even have Tacomas! Just stupid Jeep gladiators )): Since we don’t want the giant ugly unit, the only other options that were left with was a mustang for another +$25 per day OR base model bmw’s for almost +$75 per day! They offered us no discounts since they deemed the gladiator “similar” to Tacomas. Guess we’re just not imaginative enough to agree. We’re now renting a truck from Alamo for an extra $230 )): so disappointed because we would’ve booked through Turo for the Tacoma. The only reason I’m not giving 1 star is because the miss at the front desk was very kind. At least the employees are apologetic… /: UPDATE: just saw this ad for Sixt… how can you have a Toyota Tacoma advertised specifically for Honolulu & NOT HAVE ANY TACOMAS EVER?! False advertisement kings.

    I had planned a trip to Honolulu and booked a reservation with a rental car company that was not located at the airport. When I went to the rental car area I asked a representative at Enterprise if they knew where the company was located, their response was google it! So I walked into SIXT and was kindly greeted by Claire. I explained my situation and she immediately found me the perfect vehicle. She was so professional and efficient. I honestly had never really heard about SIXT but was pleasantly surprised. She processed my transaction with ease and calmness but extremely fast! It felt like a few minutes and she had me on my way. She apologized for the other company’s response and was just a breathe of fresh air. Our vehicle was clean and the process for pick up was super fast! Great customer service all the way around! I will definitely be renting from SIXT in the future.

    BEWARE the “prepay fuel”. This was the 1st time I did it, so I’m assuming everyone else probably knows there is a premium feee along w payment for an entire tank. I do now! But, What I was told was “this option will save u a lot of money”. I drove 5 gallons but was charged over a hundred dollars. They corrected this after I called , to the 5 gallons, at $9/gallon for the additional fee. I’m absolutely ok paying extra for convenience, but they should straight tell u how much extra the fees would be, and not tell me it would “save me money.” Maybe she meant to say save me time? Which it totally did. Having said that 10 stars cuz everyone there including the customer service I spoke w were so amazing. Everything was smooth, check in check out, car was immaculate. Tank wasn’t full, but they corrected for it. Shoutout especially to the guy who checked me out that day (if the employer is seeing this)He went out of his way to snatch me a cart cuz I had toddlers w me, a ton of bags, and was running behind. I literally almost cried. I’m so grateful. Will def use again next time!! Everyone use sixt if in Honolulu!
