    I bought a certified pre-owned Volvo from Amidjah T. and cannot say enough good things about the experience. He was very knowledgeable and helpful while not being pushy. It was a great experience and I love my new car. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful at Jim Ellis Volvo.

As a first time buyer, he truly walked me through all the steps and helped me to find the best fit for me without the pushy sales tactics.     While I didn’t purchase a vehicle just yet Carson’s knowledge and friendly customer service is off the charts. There’s many dealerships around the area with many different sales people he checks all the boxes and it’s not even close. Will definitely use him anytime a friend or family member needs a new vehicle.

    Overall, one of the worst car buying experiences I have ever experienced, if it was just a single issue that happened I could look over it, but it was multiple issues over the entire purchasing process that has led to this review. 1 - We purchased our car using the overseas delivery program and were very excited to do so, after discussing the program with our sales associate, all we needed to do was email the car build we wanted and they would start the process. After 5 emails, 3 calls, and eventually me visiting the dealership after 3 weeks, they finally responded to me and put the order in - not off to a great start. 2- Once the car was ordered we went in to sign the paperwork and get the financing in place, both my wife and I work busy jobs and blocked off the last part of the afternoon to come in and get things signed. Once we arrived, our sales associate was busy with another person, even though we had booked our arrival time with him, which he confirmed, to finalize everything. Instead of Amidjah having one of his colleagues help walk us through the paperwork signing, he insisted on doing both customers at once which ended up delaying both of the signings, leading to it taking around 1.5 hours of him going from customer to customer, before we actually were presented with the final cost of the car, which was wrong. 3- Wrong cost of the car, after the 1.5 hours of waiting, the finance team presented us with a cost of the car that was not what we were quoted, and of course tried to include multiple add ons which we did not ask for. I get it, dealership put add ons in, but there were costs and features that were not even on our car that were added and it further delayed the process. After discussing with the finance rep that this was not the cost, and of course he had no idea what was happening we decided that it was best to come back the next day in between our already limited day as we had to travel to a wedding that weekend. Thankfully we were able to get things signed the next day but overall terrible experience thus far at the dealership. 4 - Car delivery, the car was delayed in being shipped, which was frustrating but part of the experience. Which was not part of that experience is that the car arrived at the dealership and they never notified myself or the overseas delivery program that the dealership had it. I waited for 3 weeks before emailing Volvo and asking where my car was, and they said it had been delivered 3 weeks prior and the dealership should have contacted me. When I called the dealership they said that they are not sure why it was not in there system and no one contacted me. They acted like they had no idea what cars were in their inventory apparently?! 5 - Finally time to pick up the car! I was traveling for work when I found out the car was actually at the dealership so I called them and said I would be back the following week around 3pm to pick up the car. They told me that they would detail the car ahead of time so it was ready for me to pick it up and said to let them know when I land so it would be ready on time. After landing, I called the dealership and told them that I was just over 1.5 hours away and would be there to pick it up if they could finish the detailing process. (Side note the car was detailed in Sweden when we left, the dealership says the detail every car once it arrives on their lot, and now they are saying they detail it again before the customer picks it up...very odd). I finally arrive at the dealership, and the finance person said the car would be done any moment now and will be up soon. 30 minutes goes by and I asked where the car was and still no vehicle was presented. Finally I told them that I just wanted the car and they drove it up, and it wasn't even close to detailed at all, so once again another lie. 6 - The last and final fun note is because the car took so long to deliver and they registered the vehicle back in July, I have been fined for not having insurance on the car and may lose my registration. Thanks Volvo of Marietta for the terrible experience.
