Unfortunately I’m writing this review 4 years after purchasing. My time AT the dealership was actually great. But here we are 4 years later with a broke down car, only to find out I’ve been scammed. Was told the used car was CPO, but there’s nothing saying that on any of my paperwork so all benefits of it being “certified” are gone. I purchased some 3rd party extended warranty AT Hyundai of Venice. A.) apparently Venice is the only place that uses this company because the Hyundai Service team had no record of me having any sort of warranty. Broke down in another state of course, and The dealership here has also never heard of the warranty I have.
B.) after fighting to get this repair covered for six days (yes SIX DAYS without a car), I was told the claim was denied.
C.) I can’t tell you what this extended warranty they sold me covers, but I can tell you what it doesn’t. You might want to read this ….. Clutch pedals, clutch discs, bearings, transmission cables, brake cables, rotors, safety devices, such as seatbelts and airbags, “Any component that it’s purpose is for illumination”, Fuses, circuit breakers, drums, Exhaust systems, Cadillac converters, Windshield wiper arms, trim, Weatherstripping, Upholstery, nuts, bolts, Fasteners, Freeze plugs, squeaks, rattles, Paint, Inside and outside door handles, mirrors and mirror housing, brackets, hoses, lubricants, fluids, road hazard damage.
The list goes on, but if they won’t pay for nuts and bolts (or a literal sound???) just try to think about what they actually WILL pay for.
Anyway … I traded in a 2010 Hyundai Tucson for a 2018 Hyundai Tucson and after this experience (and about 55 more years left in my life to buy cars) I can confidently say I will never buy another Hyundai. They don’t value the customers time or money by simply being honest.
