After taking my 16 year old Volvo XC-60 with 105,000 miles to a local mechanic, two times within a week for loud grinding noise, they told me I needed various parts replaced so I okay’s the repair. Picked it up the next day and as soon as I cranked it and put in drive it made the exact same noise that I brought in for. Immediately went back in and told them to come listen to it. Was told it was just a normal sound. People on the street could hear it, it was that loud! I guess being a woman he thought I was deaf and couldn’t hear it. I decided to make a trip over to Volvo Cars in Tampa to have them look at it. I requested a service technician at Volvo in Tampa to take a test drive with me so he could hear the problem. As soon as I put it in gear and before I moved, he said “I know exactly what the problem is.” he told me to put it in neutral and the noise disappeared. He showed me the problem, they fixed it and I drove off in my car that sounded like it did the first day I bought it.
Based on my experience, I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have their car worked on by technicians who know what they are doing and not just replacing parts that do not need replacing.
Do not bother attempting to purchase from this dealership if you don’t live in the immediate area. I began working a deal with Chris on Monday to purchase a vehicle and I made it very clear from the start that I was a serious buyer, but I live 5 hours away and wouldn’t be able to make it into the dealership until Saturday. I offered to put a deposit on the vehicle to ensure it would still be there multiple times and my request was never addressed. Instead, he assured me everything was good with the deal and verified that I would be there Saturday to test drive and purchase. On Friday morning, Chris called to again verify I would be there this weekend and I told him I would be there at noon on Saturday. He told me he was holding the keys so it would be there for me and if anyone wanted to look at it he would know. Never once did he mention other interest or that I may need to make other arrangements to get there sooner. By 2pm he had texted me that they sold the car, but he could offer me another. The other car was not at all the same as the one I was trying to purchase. He then told me that they just can’t take deposits on used cars, which he never informed me of prior to this. He told me he didn’t want to do the usual sales guy thing and switch the car on me when I got to the dealership, which I suppose I should be thankful for as I really would have been unhappy if I drove 5 hours just to find out the car has sold. Regardless, it feels disrespectful to sell the car out from under me this way when I would have been there in less than 24 hours to purchase it. Don’t waste your time with this dealership like I did.
Terrible dealership, they will give you numbers for a car and set up an appointment for you to buy and pick up your car and then sell the car they promised you and try to switch it out with another one. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!!!!

We purchased a car from Clarissa last month and it was the best sales experience we have ever had. She was honest, patient, and made the whole process stress-free and actually fun. She said we could call her with any questions after we bought the car and when we did - she actually called back! On top of that, when I had to take it in for minor service, and while. I was waiting she saw me and remembered my husband's and my names (without knowing we would be there)! First class sales AND service. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the equally matched and exceptional customer service/treatment from Thomas in the Service Department! A dynamic duo for sure. Oh and Barbara is also an absolute asset to the dealership - she also went the extra mile to make us feel like family and recognized and chatted with me when she saw me weeks after the sale.
