  My experience at National Car Rental was completely satisfactory. While I may sound like a jerk, as I recently achieved Executive Status, I was very disappointed in the vehicle selection. They were literally no different than the regular Aisle vehicles. The rewards programs are not what they used to be and it reduces brand loyalty from customers.

  It was my first rental through my new employer. My flight was seriously delayed and arrived at midnight to pick up my vehicle. I followed the instructions at the desk to proceed to the parking lot for assistance. There was no assistance. Luckily my husband is very familiar with the process and was able to direct me to which line of vehicles I could choose from. The rest of the experience was GREAT!

  National is the best. Other rental companies treat me as if I have done something that bothers them if I do not fill the car with gas before I return it... or if I turn the car in early... or at a different airport than originally planned. And the others way overcharge for mileage when I need to return the car in a different city. I once went out onto the Emerald line and selected a car at an airport. I thought I had made a reservation, but I had not made one. When I got to the exit booth, the attendant looked for a reservation, and when she did not find one, she calmly and politely asked me if I had one. I had no record of one, so I guess I forgot to make a reservation. She politely asked me what day I would like to return the car. She logged me in and cheerfully sent me on the way. That is the right way to treat people! I never rent from anyone one else if I can avoid it. Thank you for making renting a good experience.

  after creating my new account at national car rental, and making sure they had all my credentials saved (eg driver's license info. etc) it was a snap. making the res is easy, rates were competitive, and the pickup/drop off were fast and easy. i am emerald aisle, which means after landing you walk to where the cars are, find the emerald aisle line of cars, and grab the one you want. some are smaller, some are larger. ez-pz. i am now a NATIONAL guy...

  I’m giving National Rental Car 3 stars for this experience. My flight was canceled due to the historic 2026 Northeast blizzard, which was obviously out of anyone’s control. However, what followed was extremely frustrating. I was initially told my rental price would be nearly triple the original amount. Over the course of multiple days, I had to call repeatedly, was put on hold, had calls dropped, and was even told that escalating the issue “wouldn’t change anything.” It felt dismissive and unnecessarily stressful during an already chaotic situation. Eventually, once I was finally escalated to a manager, the issue was resolved and the price was corrected — which I do appreciate. That said, if I hadn’t been persistent or knowledgeable enough to push back, I truly believe I would have been price-gouged. I’m grateful it was made right in the end, but the process to get there was exhausting and shouldn’t be that difficult, especially during a major weather emergency.
