Avoid this dealership! One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I felt like just a number or $ sign and the people we dealt with at the dealership, Shawn and Haley P., seemed like robots. No human element. Just talk and no follow-through. We were in contact with them trying to work out a deal for a few days, as we were very interested in a certain RV. Shawn and Haley P. told us 3 times total over the phone and by text that we would be contacted if someone was interested in buying the RV. Not true!! We texted one morning that we were driving down 6.5 hours to look at it. Haley said she was off but we were welcome to stop in. We called later in the day to confirm that we could see the RV and we were told it was sold. We were shocked! Why did Shawn and Haley say they wouldn’t sell it without contacting us first? If they wouldn’t contact us like they said they would, then they should have told us to put down a deposit to hold the RV. Shawn mentioned about putting down a deposit on the phone and that it would even be refundable if we didn’t want to buy it in the end, but we decided to not put down a deposit because they said they would give us a call if someone wanted to buy it, sort of give us “first dibs.” If we had known they would sell it anyway like words don’t matter, then we would have put down a deposit. Lesson learned there on our end. Some salespeople don’t mean what they say. Their excuse was that they weren’t there at the dealership the day it sold. Not good enough! When you say you’re going to let a customer know if someone else is interested, then do it! They also knew that we drove down from South Carolina, so when they weren’t working that day, they should have told the other sales people to contact us if someone was interested in buying it. We were never offered an apology, and the manager, Shawn, never reached out to us either, after he personally told us over the phone that he wouldn’t sell it without contacting us first. No integrity; all about the money and no care for people.

So I had a pretty frustrating initial experience with Camping World. We are just dipping our toes into the RV thing and are really looking for a used one. We are not going to be living in it or anything just looking for a toy to take out 4-5 times a year. We are looking for a budget friendly one here to get us started. We met with a young man, salesperson who asked all the typical sales bait questions like "What payment are you shopping for?" We said we are not shopping for a payment we are looking around 20-35k price range. We then go out to look at some and I ask "What is the price on this?" and I get an answer of "This one is at the top of your range", I jokingly said "That is not an answer". The next one I asked and he wouldn't tell me then he says it starts with a "4". I am 58 years old. I am not here to play guessing games or a shell game where I have to try to figure out where the real answer is. I'm sure these responses were how he was trained to respond. But we're all adults here. Treat me respectfully and I will certainly do the same. Now I wa s getting ticked off. In the end we saw one RV we kinda liked. Again this is day one of RV shopping for us so we are not buying today and we made that clear. He came back with the different break downs of what the payment is based on the different down payments amounts. We said that is not even close to what we are looking for. I then said "Even if the price was cut in half we would need to talk about it" and he says "Careful what you ask for, if Could make that happen would we have a deal?" to which I nicely said "No because that means you were trying to take me on the initial deal, you should have given me your best price first like we requested at the start of this". There were some more vague responses at which point we decided we were done for the day. I asked him to keep us in the loop if something comes in that he thinks might be a good fit for us and held my hand out to shake. I literally held it in front of him for (Yes I counted) 7 seconds before he finally reached out!!! Unacceptable. His finance manager came over in an effort to save the "sale" and we explained we were looking for a relationship. That this will be our first RV and if we enjoy the life we certainly have the means to upgrade in the near future so we need transparency and honesty and he said he understood. He was a pro and did a good job. The young sales person was visibly angry, literally like an angry pout. We walked out of what we were hoping was going to be a fun day starting an adventure and we just felt dirty, disrespected and mistreated. I know purchasing a car or RV or whatever from a dealership is generally a test of patience and bobbing and weaving their "Destination Fees", "Clear Coat fees" and all of the other BS they throw at you. In their case it is called "Great Adventure" package which includes them going over the vehicle to make sure everything is good (Shouldn't that have already happened and why would you charge me for it?) I guess I was just hoping this wouldn't be one of those. If anyone knows of an honest, straightforward company in Marion County please let me know. We have definitely pumped the breaks on our search until we find a fair place. So frustrating.

As soon as you go in the front door they sit you in the office and say that they require to run your credit before you go see the rv. Half way on the golf cart to the rv i get a notification on my phone from credit karma that theres a hard inquire from camping world. Let you know that there was a high chance we would of just decided to pay cash for the rv. The rv we came to see the slide out was completely broken aside from all the little things here and there. And the fees lets not even get there with the sneaky $900 pre delivery fees on a trade in.

I should have read the reviews before i got here. Drove over two hours to see just one used rv. As soon as i got there they required me to fill a credit application and they ran my credit before seeing this one used grand designs imagine. Insane right? When we saw the rv there was many problems with the rv, and this was a 3 year old rv. One slide didnt open at all completely broken. Awning led strip only lighted half way. One jack completely bent, broken trims inside here and there. Anyways lets talk about the fees. $800 for PRE DELIVERY SERVICE FEE?? What pre delivery? It was a used TRADE IN UNIT. They bump the price with $3000 in added stuff. Just save your time and go next door to optimum rv. We there after and in an hour after we signed on a used rv no surprise fees rv looks and works great. These were the fees on this used rv MSRP/Retail $49,950.00 Total Savings $15,251.00 Selling Price $34,699.00 WD Hitch w/Sway Control $1,095.00 Let's Go Camping TT $2,495.00 Tire $5.00 Battery $1.50 Tag-Towable $250.00 Pre-Delivery Service Fed $699.00 Total Taxes $2,546.58 Cash Down $4,000.00 Amount Financed $37,791.08

This place is a joke. I drove 7 hours from Pensacola to find an RV that was in much worse condition than advertised. The sales girl tried to get me to signin closing papers while the techs “further inspected my findings” 🤣🤣. The entire used sales operation trickles down from a fundamentally predatory structure; business is business but there is a clear green light from upper-management around keeping secrets and withholding client-decision influencing knowledge in order to get a signature/sale. Now; if you’re buying a new camper, any company will be happy to have your business and will treat you accordingly - not much mystery there, and I won’t pretend that buying new from these folks won’t yield a better experience. However, beware around buying used from them if you don’t know your way around campers - and this is echoed in many comments before mine. Good luck!
