Right off the bat, the receptionist told me their cashier was off for the day, so they couldn’t process any payments — she’d have to take my card information and charge me tomorrow. Meanwhile, there were about four guys standing around the office and several more employees in the lobby (around ten total), and not one of them knew how to take a payment. I ended up leaving my card number and a copy of my driver’s license just to complete the purchase. To make things worse, when I asked for help finding the part I needed, I was told the parts guy was out to lunch and no one had his cell number. For a company this large, it’s shocking that only one person knows how to find parts or run a register. Cross-training staff and teaching them the basics of customer service seems like common sense. Needless to say, I won’t be doing business here again. If corporate happens to read this, I’d be happy to give you some pointers on how to reduce your turnover rate and hire competent, customer-focused employees — because this store clearly needs it.
