- MWMarcia WellsDec 1, 20251.0If you are an experienced RV owner then you will probably be ok, but if not, bring someone with you who is! I purchased my 2018 Forest River Blue Ridge 5th wheel in May 2025. Living full time on my own lot while my home is renovated. I was pushed to buy this rig that had just come in the same day, guaranteed it was a great deal and all in good shape. Well there were a few things I found and listed to be taken care of plus needed to be cleaned. They had it for a month before I had a driver coming to move it. The day of the move they realized the person supposed to be working on it didn't do anything so I got it with nothing repaired. (It was quickly wiped down, the seals on roof were re sealed and that's about it) I told them to send someone to me as everything was already scheduled for delivery. A couple times he's come out (he's been very nice) but last time wrong part ordered or received. So he still has to come back and it takes months to do anything. In the time of waiting I had troubles with the tanks not dumping, thinking there was a clog or build up then months go by still not dumping properly and then it started leaking under the rig. Called for mobile service. $350 later and he finds that the pull for the black tank doesn't work and was bypassed and a different dump pull was installed under the rig. He also found that instead of the black weather guard material under the rig it's a taped together black tarp. So it was obvious that someone had been under there working in it which was never disclosed or discussed. The mobile tech says if it needs to be replaced I'd have to move it and take it to the shop which is a bit difficult since living full time. So I'll be taking this thing back to them to buy it back when I'm done! Never will I ever shop with them again for any reason. I paid cash so they just wanted it out of there most likely as they knew the issues it had and knew I was green in shopping for an RV. I am a business owner myself so the fact I feel taken advantage of from a retail sales perspective really erks me to no end.
