Poor experience with this shop. I had talked to different people on the phone and set up the appointment weeks in advance on one of my days off and told them multiple times I would be staying on site until the installation ( front struts) was done . On the day of the appointment, the guy at the desk didn't greet me or give me a smile- he looked somewhat terrified because he was flying blind because apparently they had lost their internet. I asked him to look at the backup paper appointment book which would have simply remedied the problem, but amazingly they don't do that. Totally reliant on technology that was useless and absolutely no recollection of any of our phone calls. And whenever you hear, " you dropping it off !?" not in a question format, but more like a demand, you know they are either unprepared for you or putting your vehicle on he back burner. I had a simple brake fluid change service light on my BMW and I brought in 2 Sachs OEM style front struts purchased from FCP Euro that have a lifetime warranty on them ( better than the warranty at this place on any of their inflated parts ). I was told I HAD to use their parts they ordered, not only canceling out my decision making process but also paying higher prices. The guy effected admitted ' that's how they make their money" in addition to the labor. I eventually was able to get a walk in appointment at the Fields BMW dealer in daytona and it was an extremely pleasant experience. I met a lot of great people while I waited at the gourmet kitchen bar and had free breakfast and the brake fluid flush and refill with service light reset was under $200.00. They also did a full inspection and video of my vehicle. One of the guys there told me that Lonnies has gone downhill after the old owner sold. They really only specialize in Mercedes and I didn't see any bmw on the premises the day I came ( and left). I was told Wilson's Bimmer shop in Holly Hill is a very well respected BMW shop and very reasonable. And I bet i can bring my own high quality parts that are warrantied for life. Do yourself a favor and find a better shop. My VW mechanic, Vw by Ron ended up installing my struts for me and did a great job.

We cannot say enough good things about Lonnie’s Automotive. We brought our Sprinter-based RV in with emissions and fuel system issues right before a major holiday, while full-timing on the road and far from home. From the very start, Paul was outstanding. His communication was clear, timely, honest, and reassuring during what could have been a very stressful situation. He took the time to explain what was happening, kept us updated at every step, and never made us feel like “just another job.” Even though we were not previous customers, Paul and the team truly went above and beyond to prioritize us, source the correct parts quickly, and push to get the work completed before the holiday so we wouldn’t be stranded. That level of professionalism and empathy is rare. The repair itself was handled thoroughly and correctly, including diagnostics, programming, and test driving to ensure everything was resolved before releasing the vehicle. We picked up the rig confident it was done right. If you’re looking for a shop that combines technical competence with exceptional customer care, Lonnie’s Automotive is it. Huge thanks to Paul and the entire team for getting us back on the road. We’re incredibly grateful.

Paul and the team were super helpful. They identified the problems with the car and made the repairs. They kept me updated on the progress. After picking up the car I was concerned about a low pressure sensor that went off a few days later. I brought the car back, they inspected, put air in the tires and sent me on my way. I feel much better driving my 13 year old VW Passat after having them make the repairs and inspecting the entire vehicles. Will definitly use them for any future needs.
