- SGSpiros GerekosFeb 24, 20212.0Surprise #1: We are travelling in an RV. We made a reservation with Enterprise days in advance to pick up the rental car at 9am. Because of bad weather and poor driving conditions, we arrived at 1pm. We were told that because of our delay, the vehicle reserved for us was given to someone else and that we would have to wait for at least two more hours until another vehicle becomes available. Not only we were extremely unhappy and frustrated that we had to alter our plans for the day, but we were also unpleasantly surprised and upset with the clerk's rude attitude and handling of our situation. Surprise #2: We had to leave town at 6am, so we drove back to the Enterprise location to drop off the car the eve of our departure. After walking around the building multiple times, we were stunned when we realized that there is NO AFTER HOURS DROP OFF BOX at this location. Not sure what was expected of us? Leave the car unlocked with of the key in it and assume the responsibility of whatever potentially happens to the car overnight or delay our departure by 3 or 4 hours waiting for the morning crew to arrive? Not really "surprise" #3 at this point... The supervisor who listened to our concerns, agreed that the reservation was mishandled, he apologized and said that because we ended up losing half a day of rental he was going to reduce the rate. WE WERE CHARGED FULL RATE. It is fair to say that not all Enterprise locations operate at the same poor level. As a matter of fact the reason we reserved with Enterprise is because we've had positive experiences in the past. However, because of lack of consistency between locations chances are we will not risk booking with Enterprise in the future...
