Think of this place as a used car lot, only you'll be spending as much as some people are paying for a house. You are going to be a shined up used vehicle, and if it's like mine, 3-5 things will go wrong that will make you wonder why you even bought a used motorhome. A car salesman will tell you whatever they think you want to hear to sell you a vehicle and get their commission. I call my motorhome, "The Money Pit".

horrible decision to buy a new rv from this location. I also would not curse my biggest enemy with the service dept here. as a store owner i tend to be understanding and patient, however this camping world is just beyond what anyone should be expected to accept.

I've got an older Airstream (2008) that I've brought to Camping World for various maintenance. For the most part, it's gone well, although communication has been challenging at times. Partly, that I think, has been due to some staff turnover, but I was very grateful for the General Manager helping to put things right after an incorrect install of an exhaust fan got complicated. I was able to have a frank and productive conversation with the GM that I hope provided both positive and constructive feedback on their service process. He also solved the fan issue without my having to pay additional for a re-install of the correct fan requested. My initial frustration of having to work with a couple of different service advisors who didn't seem "to hear me" was resolved by the GMs attentiveness, and assurance they'd work to put things right for me. I finally as of today found closure on my frustrations with some of their disorganization as they were able to find and return my misplaced keys. I've got confidence they are working to get better processes in place to provide excellent service.

I am writing to make other people aware of what I believe is a fraudulent and unethical business practice, often described as "bait-and-switch," carried out by Camping World, specifically involving the General Manager, Scott Hushen. I brought my travel trailer to the store with the intent to sell it. They offered a quoted price but stated the trailer required a new roof, which they assured me would be handled by their service department and covered by insurance, implying no cost to me. After the trailer spent three weeks in the service department for the roof repair, the store significantly reduced their purchase offer by $4,000, despite the trailer now having a new roof. This reduction was presented as a non-negotiable change to the original agreement. Further research suggests that this tactic—using the service department to increase internal revenue before unfairly reducing the sales price—is a standard operating procedure for this location's management. When I confronted Mr. Hushen directly about these shady sales practices, he stated that he "doesn't take threats well." I had merely informed him that I would be reporting the fraud to the Attorneys General office and State Farm. This is a clear pattern designed to deceive customers. I advise anyone considering selling a trailer to this business to be extremely cautious and seek a second opinion before allowing their vehicle into the service department.
