- AHAlora HarperDec 6, 20252.0Alright. Here's the thing. We loved this parking garage. We use it pretty much any time we go downtown. Tonight, they ruined it for us. First, there was poor signage that made people think they were able to leave much sooner than they were actually allowed to. Secondly, and more inportantly, we decided to partake in the denver tradition of watching the parade of lights from inside the garage. We paid for our spot so that we could do this. This has been something that people have done for many years here in Denver, at least a decade if not more. This year, they decided to call the police and they had the police tell us that we could not stand in the garage, near our own vehicles, during the parade. Neither the police nor the parking garage security could articulate to us the reason why we were suddenly not allowed to do this. Even after we left, there were still people up there too! We later saw a STAFF MEMBER OF THE GARAGE SECURITY watching the parade from inside the garage. This was infuriating and honestly, insulting to the many people that they kicked out. There were probably 40-50 people that had to deal with this. This has never been a problem before and I deeply hope that it will never be a problem again.
