- WLWes LanglandOct 27, 20253.0Let me preface my remarks with: The reason I stopped by Safelite to get a quote was the great experience I had about 6-7 years ago when I had my windshield replaced. The installation was perfect and the cockpit of my truck was immaculate. This time, I was looking forward to a similar experience, however I was somewhat disappointed. The scheduling was thru my insurance USAA. I contracted for an OEM replacement windshield, a recalibration of my sensors and cameras, and a pair of new wiper blades. I arrived on time, the reception was very professional, and then I met with the technician. He estimated it would take about 1.5 hours. About an hour and a half later he delivered my truck with a new windshield. He gave me some does and don't regarding my new windshield. I drove off very satisfied. However, when I got home and took a closer look I found broken glass all over the passenger side mat and finger prints all over the dash. Not quite what I expected. I can only hope the windshield installation and the sensor recalibration were accomplished in a more professional manner. I guess time will tell.
